Our Experience with ProDeck It took us eleven years to recover from a bad experience with another general contractor, but our deck was deteriorating, and we needed a change. We decided to replace it with a 10 by 8-foot covered porch. Driving by their office on Lovell Rd, I thought, "I need a deck, and I need a pro." So, I gave ProDeck a call. Chris and his "crew chief/foreman/the guy who takes care of everything," Fernando, came out to our house. My wife and I shared our vision and showed them an old SketchUp drawing I had done years ago (attached). We laid out our ideas while the ProDeck team listened carefully, took notes, and conferred among themselves. The very next day, we received a detailed quote, complete with pictures and descriptions of each aspect of the job. Meanwhile, we had also reached out to another well-known contractor, who quoted us a significantly higher price, scribbled on a blank sheet of paper with only a few handwritten notes. That made the decision easy. We negotiated with ProDeck to handle the teardown ourselves and a few other aspects to save money, then signed the contract. Three weeks later, the porch was finished—and we love it. Ken and the crew worked professionally, fast, and efficiently. The team was flexible, accommodating a few changes we requested, and completed the final punch-out without a hitch. There were zero gaps in communication. Honestly, the whole process couldn’t have gone smoother. We've since recommended ProDeck to our neighbors and friends, and everyone on our street has commented on how much the porch has transformed our 50-year-old house.
