Do not use this company if you care about your personal/data security. The owner certainly doesn't. For whatever reason, they do not accept many valid forms of payment even though their website says nothing about it. I had sent a Wells Fargo bill pay payment, but the owner responded that their address wasn't valid and they didn't accept payments. Instead, they force you to using their small 3rd party business payment systems, which are constantly having data breaches. I even attempted to show them how to offer more secure payment methods within their current system (a 3 step, 5 minute setup), but the owner had no interest in the security of their customer's data. Since the bank payment was already sent, the money was taken out of my account. The owner was notified of this but sent texts and emails daily that our bill was overdue. The technician did a ok job (though didn't do any cleanup of the areas - leaving screws, etc) but the payment process was a nightmare. If I had known, I'd have picked a different electrician.

We use the largest vending service for this in the service industry, namely Square. We are sorry you were not able to pay with check when you sent it to an address we're not sure you got the address from however, it's defamatory to say that we don't care about your personal data when in fact we do. We're just very clear about the forms of payment that we take."

I was referred by a friend to use Murphy Family Electric. Their website was easy to book and they communicated right away through text to answer any questions. Love the options to book them to come out for a half or whole day!!! I had a list of random small things to have them do that would take about a half day. Everything went smoothly and the job he did was excellent! I never write reviews, but the company and their price model was so great, I felt like others should know what a great experience this was. Would highly recommend.

Our wall heaters went out over the weekend, and Stan from Murphy Family Electric was able to come out by lunchtime on Monday to fix a wiring issue to get our heat back. I was impressed by how friendly and knowledgeable Stan was, since the issue wasn't straightforward, yet he solved it within 30 minutes. That night, the temperature dropped into the 20s, so having our heat back was huge!

“Stan was excellent - He quickly figured out my disconnected neutral issue and repaired to code. The second project (ceiling fan install in gazebo) required more work than could be done. Stan worked on installing a ceiling fan for my daughter. He was professional, polite and completely explained issues to me, and answered all my questions! Thank you! BTW - I would still be interested in having the gazebo ceiling fan installed, but it requires minor woodwork.”

I can't recommend these people. Their degree of competence is highly questionable. On one task they opted to replace an existing dimmer switch that was part of a 3-way switch installation (it was not actually an electrical problem with the dimmer, the touch button on the dimmer had recently been physically broken by carpet installers). After they left, I found that the new dimmer switch was working but the other two switches did not work properly, i.e. they had busted the 3-way circuit somehow. I scheduled them to come back so they could fix this, and was told if it was their fault there would not be a charge. They came back, were unable to figure out what the problem was, left, and next thing I know I was immediately sent an additional charge of hundreds of dollars for them to come out and NOT fix the problem that they had clearly caused. I was threatened that they would take me to court if I didn't pay. This whole event demonstrated not only horrible customer service, but a level of dishonesty that frankly astonished me. And now I need to hire a different contractor that actually knows what she/he is doing to have my 3-way circuit returned to working order like it was before these people got involved. Stay far, far away.
