I'm so glad I found Tim! He has been fantastic to work with. Responsive, upfront, and follows thru on his word. My front yard was in serious need of work. It was a mess. He's done an amazing job with cleaning it up; re-grading to deal with water issues, replacing the old, cracked concrete walk and rotted timber steps with gorgeous flagstone, and building a retaining wall for an egress window. This is phase 1 of getting my property looking good. It's well on it's way and I look forward to working with Tim on the nexts phase!

I had an appointment with Tim Moore in August (I believe) where he came to my home and we discussed options for weeding my highly neglected flower beds, removing/relocating some plants, mulching, and building a retaining wall. I always do my research and weigh my options, so I received quite a few quotes and plans from at least 5 landscaping companies who do similar work. Moore's Landscaping had a great price and a clear vision as to what it would take to tackle the project. Out of all the other companies I spoke with, I immediately knew I could trust Tim and knew he would be transparent. My instinct wasn't wrong. I also chose Moore's Landscaping because there was absolutely no pressure to push forward with the project. Tim was very patient with my constant delays and always remained professional. On the day of the project, Tim introduced me to Matt and they both got to work. The end result exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be happier. The work was completed ahead of schedule (October 8, 2020) and on-budget. I would definitely hire them again.

In March I employed Moore Landscaping.  I was never presented with plans but Mr. Moore promised me he new exactly what I wanted.  My project was to be completed in three weeks.  In July I chose to end my relationship with Moore landscaping.  In August, Mr. Moore called to say that he would come out and repair the mistakes and also replant any of the trees that had died.  I have not seen him again.  I was very disappointed with what I got.
Response from MOORE'S LANDSCAPING
"I did work for the member in May 2011. Unfortunately, she was a difficult customer. She would forget conversations we would have. On the second day of the project, she and I traveled together to pick out the rock and plants to be used on her property. At a later time, she stated she did not like anything on her project and that she did not pick it out. The member was supposed to be involved in the designing process of her project. However, there were days when she did not come out of her house. When it came time to pay the final contract installment, I met with her husband. After completing all of the work within the contract and two separate checklists of additional items, he stated he was going to short me $2,500 of the remaining contract agreement and did so. To date, I have still not been paid the balance of $2,500 by this customer. The contract these customers signed states that if the contract is not paid, the warranty is null and void. When he gave me the final payment he stated he was going to pay me, he stated at that time he understood the warranty would be void."

So we took a big chunk of time we hoped to avoid to research flagstone installation and Techniseal, starting with simply reading the instructions on the back of the Techniseal bag. We discovered the following: -Techniseal is not recommended for flagstone; it is for pavers with maximum joint widths not to exceed one-half inch (many of our joints exceed this, with some gaps spanning four to six inches). Gator Dust is the recommended product for flagstone. -Gator dust and flagstone installations, especially over fresh ground, require a properly prepared bed. Gator Dust specifies five inches of well compacted crushable gravel and one inch of sand. This, we discovered, is a generally accepted industry standard. Tim originally claimed that he put three inches of gravel under all the flagstones, but he only brought in one load that covered less than half of the patio area. None of it was compacted. I showed Tim pictures that proved this, but he still denied it, still claimed he did the job properly. -Gator dust requires that all joints are between one-half to four inches wide. Many of our patio joints fall outside this range. When we challenged Tim with these issues, he denied they were a problem and refused to redo the patio using the proper procedures. We wound up removing the Techniseal ourselves with a trowel. Tim promised he would be out in a couple of weeks to replace it with Gator Dust, which is the most he would do (only to make us ?happy?). Anything else we would have to pay extra for. After a couple of months, however, the best I could get from him was that he dropped off several bags of Gator Dust. In the meantime, a new problem emerged. Many of the flagstones are shifting/settling despite assurances that they would not budge. It?s probably good that they did not install the Gator Dust or we?d have even a bigger problem. Conclusions: Matt does nice work and is worth the investment as long as you understand the prep work and make sure it is included, in writing, in the contract and it is done as specified. I have given up on Tim Moore. He continues to deny the issues and will not accept responsibility for them beyond a quick fix that will, in the long run, fix nothing. We have decided to just get someone else to fix it the right way.
