Meadowbrooke Kennel

Ace and his assistant trainer Susie worked with our 14 month old lab mix on basic commands, and going into the crate. Our dog was always happy, and comfortable with the staff when I visited him while he was staying there. We are trying to continue training at our house, and will probably take advantage of the one year refresher training visits included in the price. While Meadowbrooke may not be the most glamorous facility, the dogs seemed well cared for, the kennels were clean and the staff knowledgeable and flexible to work out the best training plan for your family and dog.

I would use them again.

We have used them for about four years now. They have clean facilities to board your dog, they have training, if you want to get into that area, and they do an great job with the grooming.

We have loved taking our dog to Meadowbrooke for 5 years now, and they have never disappointed. Her most recent trip to "puppy camp" was just a few weeks ago, and even with recent staff changes (as mentioned in one very negative review), our experience was every bit as positive as it has always been. Our dog was happy when we left her there, and very content when we picked her up. We always opt for her to have a bath and nail clip just before we pick her up, and this time was the best we've ever had. The place was clean, the other dogs were talking with each other and playing, and the staff were professional and friendly. Totally consistent exceptional experiences now as ever.

My dogs always like to go to Meadowbrook. They come home tired and clean. When I called and had a few changes to make in the times I would drop off and pick up, they were very accomodating. If you board your dog there and pick up after 2pm, they will bathe your dog for the same price as a day of boarding.

Before training our dog was very sweet but extremely hyper and difficult to control especially with our other two older dogs. We elected to have our dog trained in their two week boarding program. We visited her twice during the program and could tell that she was becoming calmer and more controllable. The program is scheduled for two weeks but they kept her an additional several days without charge. When we attended our first "people" lesson we were amazed at how much she had learned. She sat, layed down, heeled and stayed on command. Perhaps even more amazing was the "leave it" command where she left a piece of cheese on the floor and would not eat it until given the ok. After the second people lesson where she was re-introduced to one of our older dogs without additional charge, she came home a different dog. She's still an active puppy but is much more easy to be with, almost never jumps up on people and is much calmer around other dogs. We are very satified with the boarding school training program at Meadowbrooke and highly recommend it.

A friend suggested I go to Meadowbrook for obedience training. Ace did such a good job that I decided to try their boarding services. The staff is so friendly and very knowledgeable. The owners' lives seem to be very dog-centric. They have big runs with larger areas connected to the runs for playtime. They also provide extra services like hikes and "super playtime". AWESOME place ... I definitely recommend them (and have done so) for obedience & boarding. I want to try agility training, so I let you know how good that is.

When my dog was a puppy (approx 8 months) we were leaving for a 2 week vacation & I was concerned about leaving her for so long. She was a very high energy puppy & I hated to leave her in a kennel. I found Meadowbrooks program that would board her & do the obedience training which she desperately needed. I liked the idea of someone spending time with her rather than just sitting in a run for 2 weeks & as I mentioned she needed the training. When we returned from vacation we had a different dog. The obedience training went great & it was obvious she loved her trainer & was happy while we were gone. This program was approximately 450.00 at the time in 2002. We have boarded her there ever since. They have a nice facility & offer many extras over the normal boarding realm for larger dogs that need more activity. They will play with them (rope or ball etc.) or take them hiking. For smaller dogs you can request "cuddle time". These extras add to the cost, but I feel you more than get your money's worth. The owners do the training themselves which includes agility & obedience. They do an incredible job with both. The boarding staff know my dog & excited to see her come. I highly recommend Meadowbrook & wouldn't take my dog anywhere else.

Meadow Brook has a girl that works there that we really like. Not everyone can deal with a ninety pound dog like ours. She works with our dog beautifully and the dog looks great when she's done with her. I highly recommend this affordable and great grooming and boarding facility to other folks.

Meadowbrook Kennel did a great job of boarding our dog. The staff is very nice and so are the facilities. The kennels are clean and the runs are very large. They even offer to go on a hike with the dogs for an additional charge. We are very pleased with the service we received from them.
