McNabb Modern Construction

It took a little bit longer than what we have expected. He did a great job. We had to have it finished on the inside. It's actually a storage warehouse area. The only issue I had is that we've been trying to get in touch with him for the last several weeks because the people that he used as his concrete subcontractor did the spilling on the driveway. He hasn't been returning our emails. Other than that, it was a good experience. He really worked well with us as far as design. He used our design. My brother is an architect so he actually had the blueprint for it. He had his own suggestions but he was willing to work with our concept also. He's very knowledgeable. We talked to several contractors and got prices from several people. He was very compatible and was lower than most.

James McNabb was contacted by email and replied in a timely fashion.  We discussed the need, he looked at the house, gave me an estimate, scheduled the work date with the renters and showed up with a crew ready to do the work.  It was done professionally and with good workers. 
   I thought the original estimate was high but when I saw what was done and the extra time it took and that he took with us, the helpful suggestions made for other things it got him an A+.
   There was a very minor miscommunication as to the finishing of the job but it was resolved to my satisfaction.  James was very reasonable and good to work with.  I would use him again and recommend his company to anyone needing work in the general remodeling arena.

We were impressed with J. McNabb and after pricing those outbuildings you buy and take to your site, for the same size it was a no-brainer to hire him to build this building from scratch and on a concrete slab. He was a few days later getting started than initially estimated. The only complaint we had is that he left one guy to work on this building and what he initially estimated would take a couple of days actually took a full week. The guy did a great job, cleaned up daily, and we have no complaints whatsoever about the actual work. The building is what we wanted, it looks like the picture we showed James initially and we are very pleased. As I said, the only complaint was that apparently for whatever reason, James was spread more thinly that week than anticipated and left one guy (and his wife-helper) to work on the building, so it took longer. We expected more than one person to be working consistently on our project. James did come the last day to help finish it out and put the lean-to on it that we wanted. In fairness, we added to the lean-to which may have taken an extra few hours to build.

I had my house damaged from the hail storm back in April. I called and received many estimates and McNabb modern construction was by far my best choice. They were fast curteous and while he was here, my two neighbors liked his work soo much, they had them do theirs so that says alot right there.  

I had to fire my last painter because he couldn't get the job done over several months. I hired McNabb Modern Construction on an hourly rate to finish the job, along with several other jobs, including: gutter repair, power wash and repaint patio furniture, and repair some siding and facing. I found Mr. McNabb and his team to be thorough, honest, and dependable. Mr. McNabb got the job done efficiently and for approximately the cost he had originally quoted. I will definitely use McNabb Modern Construction again for house repairs/ construction.
