They are a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for.  They keep history of everything.  All that I've had done so far has been top notch.  They are an A+ in responsiveness. The Service Manager, so far, has been really good about telling me what's going on.  I'm able to find out exactly what they do.  You don't talk much to the mechanics.  But the Service Managers are great.

When one reached 100,000, I took it in and he did almost $2000 worth of work. They did a bunch of things - new spark plugs, which may sound small, but it was $259. They did a number of other things - replaced fluids and did a lot of 100,000 mile work and it came to $1687. It was not any formal inspection, they just went over the vehicle and did what the manual told them to look up and do. It did not go very well. I've used that Mazda dealer service a number of times over the years and they always had a group of mechanics there who I considered pretty good. They were middle aged men and they weren't real chummy guys. They were pretty straightforward, but they did good work and they knew what they were doing. Either they retired or whatever, they replaced them with a group of younger mechanics. These younger mechanics are more personable, but they aren't very good. They could bring back those older guys, but I don't think that is about to take place. They should see that their mechanics are better trained to diagnose and repair.

Went well.

I went in to get an oil change and the service manager told me I need to replace my entire power steering system because it had leaked out but the mechanic told me to try and get some Lucas power steering fluid that could possibly seal the leak. That worked and saved me $400. Thanks to the mechanic for being honest instead of the service manager just trying to take as much money as possible.



I would give the mechanic an A and the service manager a C.

I think they are great. They are honest. They may be a little high in price due to being a dealer, but I haven't been to anyone else to repair my car since 2004 so I don't know what the prices are. When I bought my car if I got all my oil changes with them all the time then I would get free brakes and free tires so I have been using them and it has worked out very well. I make appointments with them. I will definitely continue to use them.

They were able to satisfy my questions very quickly and arrange financing. It was a very pleasant experience.

They do fantastic work. They are very good at calling you back. Their costumer service is wonderful. We have never had any problems with them. They are very good.

Last visit, complained again. Miraculously, twelve months having elapsed since delivery and driveability warranty period expired, dealer discovered that the car needed an $85 four wheel alignment. Too late. Flat spots on tires now exacerbated by feathering from initial misalignment. Stonewalled by dealer. Went to local Toyo warranty dealer who diagnosed problem as being now irrecoverably bad tires. So, due to dealer incompetence, my wife has a Christmas present, four new Michelin tires. Mazda Knoxville appears to be just another typical auto dealer--sell you a car, take your money, and so long, sailor.

I am very pleased with Mazda. They did a great job repairing the master cylinder. It was not an easy job; it was actually a pretty big one. I cannot remember the price of the service, but, it was a big job so it did cost a lot of money. Besides that, everything is in working order now and I am pleased to say that I would hire them again.
