KINGTON SEWER & SEPTIC CLEANING

Jerry and Nick did a wonderful job clearing our pipe of roots. They were here less than 30 minutes. After being told we would need a completely new main line and it would have cost us thousands, these guys cleared it at a very reasonable price. I would recommend them to anyone who thinks they have any type of pipe blockage! Thank you all so much!

Kington advertises "we can figure out how to solve the clogged (?drain) with minimal damage to the property. " For an hour or more the first worker used an auger on the washer drain in the house. The washer was used to check the drain flow but they were very **** ** the washer timer dial and it does not work anymore. That's why I am giving a low review. I'm sure I'll be replacing the washing machine controls very soon now. We were disappointed that it took over 2 hours and we were charged over $290 and the drain was not clear when they left. It seemed like a lot of time was spent doing the same thing over and over and getting NO results. After they left I used drain cleaner but still had to call them back and get another team to finish up...which they did very quickly. As it turns out...Oxi Clean powder was the culprit...so beware. Bottom line: I think they are a respectable business and I would hire them again... but I would prefer to have other personnel come out - because the better they are at the job, the less it costs, the quicker it goes, and the happier the customer is.

Kington was recommended to us by our plumber who does not do drains. Our toilet was backing up into the bathtub due to a suspected clogged septic tank. My wife called them and they sent someone within a couple of hours. Their website said they handled everything from clogged drains to pumping septic tanks so we thought we had a one stop shop for any eventuality they encountered. Robert came out, he was punctual and professional, I came home from work and met him to explain what was happening, he located our tank and determined that one third of it was underneath an addition on our home built many years ago making it impossible for him to clear the clog from that end and their septic pumping crews were scheduled a month out due to the volume of calls. The only way to clear it would be to pull out the toilet from the first floor and run the snake from there (the clean out was in the garage/finished basement but with it completely full would have flooded everything with you know what) but with the tank likely full and causing the back up there was no point in doing it until the tank was pumped which they could not do any time soon but they did recommend another company. It was also possible that the line would clear itself after the tank was pumped making a clean out unnecessary. They didn't charge me for the visit which impressed me. I got the other company out a couple of hours later meanwhile I dug out the tank lid. They pumped it but as I feared the line in the house did not clear itself and I had to call Kington again. The man that answers their phone was a little rude to my wife. I understand the backlog with people all wanting service immediately and the fact that they had already been out but it left her nervous and reluctant to call them again. Maybe it was just a bad day for him but it was the one day we needed them and the only experience we've had with them to date so it tends to define them to us.They could not come out that day as it was late but they did make it out around noon the next day, removed the toilet and did the job. Everything works great, Robert cleaned up the mess he made and we were very pleased overall. The only 2 negative things were the unavailability of their tank pumpers making it necessary to bring in a third party and loosing a day and the one rude phone call but those were minor things given the larger problem we faced at the time. That is the only thing keeping them from an "A" rating. The face to face contact with Robert was positive and my wife felt much more comfortable with him than the man on the phone (who was nicer the next day), Robert gets an "A" rating. This was our first back up and have owned the home only 2 years so this was new territory for us. I hope this never happens again but if it does we will likely call Kington.

I called Kington this morning (Friday) to have them come unclog the sewer line from our house to the septic tank. I had called them earlier in the week (Tuesday) to pump the septic tank, but they were backed up and recommended Rose Septic Tank Service. Rose's came on Thursday and pumped the tank. However, the main line from the house was clogged with roots and Rose's didn't have the equipment to deal with that. So, after the call to Kington this morning explaining the problem, Terry came out early this afternoon (he was here within 15 minutes after they called to confirm his arrival time). He was professional and took care of the problem. He made sure all our commodes were flushing and emptying into the septic tank before moving his equipment and recovering the tank. I was very happy with their service!

Go job no problems at all. Price was a little more than what I would have liked but it may very well be market. I'm just whining a little. They did a good professional job.

My husband and I had used Kington before and they did a great job both times. They responded very quickly and was very professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

The Nick was very polite, prompt, helpful, and knowledgeable. He worked diligently and efficiently to complete the job in an incredibly short time. I would definitely recommend Kington. Nick is an asset to Kington.

Scott arrived as expected, took care of the problem in a friendly and professional manner and made sure everything was working (toilets flushing, tub draining) before he left.
I would definitely use this company again if I had problems (which I hope never happens) and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing the services they provide!

I called for service on Monday morning and he arrived early the same afternoon. I told him that I had tried a plunger and then a metal auger like gizmo. Nothing worked. Honestly the toilet had been plugged for several days and I was hoping to unclog it myself. He worked with his own auger like device and was able to unclog the toilet. He did point out that the auger showed wax on it from the wax seal. He suggested that he pull the toilet and reseal it. Since it was a little wobbly, I agreed to have him do that. He did and the toilet has functioned just fine ever since. Further it doesn't wobble on the tile floor.

While the work itself was done decently, part of their inspection equipment was "out of order." Still they charged an extra-ordinarily excessive fee for the work and on top of that they wanted info that I have never been asked for work done at my home that I have paid for by check. The office was extremely rude.
In summary, stay away from these people!!!

The septic hadn't been cleaned for over 5 years and was backed up. My son called Kington one morning and they were out that afternoon. They found the septic, dug it up and emptied it.
They did a professional job. The $290 seemed fair for cleaning out the septic, but the $160 for digging down 2 feet seemed excessive.
I would probably use them again, but I might try a new company next time.

Toliets and shower started draining very slow. Used Angie's list to find local plumber. Contacted Kington Plumbing. They responded quickly and had a technician onsite within a few hours.

I called Kington and indicated my need; they called back and indicated they'd come by in 40 minutes!!!
Karl came by and was very professional; he check out everything: snaked the lines (didn't fine anything) and replaced a flapper. He felt that because the problem was with 2 toilets and not with a 3rd or any sinks, the issue had to be in the toilets. He suggested that the "blue sanitizing" disks in the toilet (which had become a thick sludge) might be a problem. He cleaned out "water discharge" holes in the toilet and raised the water level. That made a difference but he suggested emptying the tank, cleaning out the sludge, and putting CLR into the water hole and leaving overnight. The next morning, I turned water back on and flushed..... MIRACLE... the toilet flushed just like it should.
Karl and Kington get my vote. I will definitely reuse.
