That is hard to find someone who does screen replacement. When you have tenants, they somehow let the window screens disappear. I have never understand it. You can go to another provider, and get a kit to make them. Its cheap and cheesy. Its not durable. These guys make a screen, that is better than the manufactured screens.I took the screens to them. I tried to save myself a service call, which is $100.

The salesman told me the windows would be trimmed with a metal trim that would be shaped to look like the brick mold currently on my windows.  That was not the case.  The trim was a u-shaped rectangular metal piece which DID NOT take the shape of the brick mold.  One edge of the metal piece was caulked to the outside window frame and the other edge was nailed to the outside of the brick mold.  It looked ok., but it was not what the salesman described to me.  So after a couple of days, I decided to remove part of the metal piece from one window at the back of my house because I wanted to see if I could use just the brick mold instead.  When I did that, I discovered that my window was not insulated between the wall of the window opening and the window frame.  They had just replaced the window, and used the metal to cover the brick mold, caulk it to the window frame and nail it to the outer side of the brick mold.  I contacted the salesman and asked him why the windows were not insulated and he said it was usually done that way.  I told him I wanted the windows insulated because the only thing between the inside of my house and the outside weather was a bead of caulk.  He said he would get  back with me.  Later I received a call from the company and I explained my dissatisfaction with the lack of insulation.  I was told that insulation was a "choice" given to the customer at the time of sale and would have been an extra cost.  I told them the salesman did not give me that "choice" at the time of sale.  I assumed the windows would be insulated without having to make a choice.  I have been around a lot of building of houses and it is just a given that windows are to be insulated.  They said they would get back to me and when they called the second time they told me they could not figure how to insulate my windows without removing the metal pieces and they were not going to do that.  The only thing they were willing to do was replace the metal piece I removed from the one window.  They said the salesman would be in touch with me to get that done.  I never heard from him again.  I tried to call several times, left messages, and my call was never returned.  This company has absolutely no concern for customer satisfaction.  I never received a call from them to make sure the salesman followed up on replacing the metal piece. This work was done before I joined Angie's List. Hind site is always 20-20.  I wish I had been more pro-active in selecting a window company with reviews from other customers.  I wish I had asked more questions about their window installation practices.

Randy, the glass man, came to estimate the job. He returned one week later as promised with the replacement window glass. He called the day before to set up time. Arrived on time, and completed on time.

They were prompt and courteous. We were having the house painted at the same time, and they came and removed old windows so that window wells could be painted, then came back after the painting to install the new windows. We appreciated that they coordinated their work with the painters. We don't think the quality of the windows is very high. Some don't raise and lower very well, and some corners don't seem to be well matched. Screens don't seem tightly attached and one has already been pushed out by our cat leaning against it while sunning in a window.
