Save your money and shop elsewhere. My entire carpet install was a disaster plagued by improperly installed carpet, communication issues, unhelpful staff, and being blamed by management for not understanding the technical details of carpet.

I paid close to $16,000 for carpet with Johnson and Sons and it has been the worst home project I have ever experienced. The install was sloppy with visible seams, lumpy stairs, exposed tack strips that cut my kids? feet, missing padding, and they even took all the leftover carpet scraps. Since then I have been promised repairs over and over but crews do not show, appointments get canceled, or excuses are made. I rearranged my work and family schedule multiple times, including missing my daughter?s game, only to be let down. First crew never came, second was one inexperienced worker, third had a medical emergency, then I was told Sept 9 which was already seven weeks after the job was done. We are now past that date and still no resolution. This company took my money and delivered poor workmanship with constant delays and excuses. I want the job fixed by a qualified installer, my carpet scraps returned, and compensation for the repeated disruption. Avoid this company.

Poor installation. Subcontractors hurriedly completed in 4 days what was estimated as a full 7 day job. Closet space flooring looks like a toddler completed, door transitions not properly installed, & freshly painted walls were dinged & dented.

Absolutely the worst experience ever!! Do not use Johnson’s and Sons. It went great until they had our money. We hired them to do our flooring and backsplash. 1. After we purchased the flooring we were told there was plenty in stock and were given an install date. They called us the Thursday before install it was now back ordered. They had attempted to just place the order 2 business days before install, we have paid a month prior. It took an additional month for install after the scheduled date. 2. I picked out my backsplash signed off on it. When the installer came to install it was the wrong backsplash. There was a lot of back and forth, me being told that was the backsplash I picked out, I never even looked at that backsplash. Finally they pulled the form I signed (not the order form) and lo and behold it wasn’t what I ordered. Vincent messed up the order. So now we had to wait until it was reordered another week behind. When they came the next week, they didn’t have enough, another week behind. I asked how it was possible they didn’t have enough. I was told by Vincent he guesstimated the average kitchen. Their cabinet person had come out and measured, why he didn’t get those measurements from her. I have no idea. After the installers came the second time I didn’t like how something was done and wanted it extended a little more. Told Vincent I wanted it fixed to order extra backsplash and have them correct it when they came out to install the final side. I was told ok. They never communicated with the installers so they refused to make the change. So now I either have to pay someone else to come fix it or just suck it up because Vincent said he quits and to stop communicating with him. We have been trying to get in touch with someone at the store but haven’t been successful. 3. The flooring installers tried stealing my husband’s tool that they asked to borrow.. why they didn’t have their own tool as floor installers I have no idea. The aggravation, time I had to continue to take off work so they could come back out, and still now having to come and have someone fix it. Worst company. Use a different one. Save yourself the aggravation!!

I ordered Hardwood flooring that I was told by the salesman they have never had a problem with. Great. Went to pick it up and opened the first box to check the quality and the first 2 pieces where spilt all down the sides. The next piece was so warped you could not mat h it to another piece. I took these to the sales office. The manager said " you have to allow for a percentage of bad pieces" then told me he would put in a claim to thr company for ME. Noy that I was getting my money back but he was going to put a claim in. I told him I want my money back as claims take a long time and he could keep the flooring and file a claim for the store. I paid $6704 and he wants me to open all the boxes to see if there was any more that had a problem. The only problem I have is Johnson and son. They buy from LL Flooring and that's a terrible place to get produces. When I try to call back they do not answer. Nice representation for a local company. It's just money to them

This is the worst customer service I have ever had with a company. Sales were good, but installation was a month before they called, Ash told us that it was in and she would inspect and call us back to schedule, didn't happen for another week we had to call them, then she told us same thing that it just came in. Told us it was a 2 day install, but scheduled it with installer for 3 days. Installer did not get instructions from Scheduler, who said they did not get it from Sales. Lots of excuses. Poor customer service from Scheduler and Installer will never use them again. and I hope someone fixes the issues before another client is done this way. When contractor left residence on second day left all of the carpeting and pad in front yard, did not clean up or dispose of.

The salesperson I worked with was able to match my lowest bid along with an upgrade in the quality of the wood. Every person I dealt with from the cleaning lady to the installer was professional and courteous. The job started on time and was completed on time even though there were days the installers stayed late. As a follow up, the store scheduled a post job walk down to address any issues as well as to provide care instructions. I purchased an area rug from another store that needs to be cut and bound to fit my bedroom, and the store offered to handle that for me also. I can’t say enough good things about this Johnson and Sons. They have gone above and beyond what they had to do to make my experience a positive one.

We had such a great experience in-store and at our home with Johnson and Sons when we had them lay hard wood in our family, living, and dining rooms, that we had them come back 6 months later and install carpet in the 4 bedrooms. They were very professional and extremely easy to work with. The prices were better than the big box stores for better quality products. I recommend them highly.

The new flooring is gorgeous! The subcontractor installers did a beautiful job on the floor. Unfortunately, our upright piano was scratched and scraped in multiple places in the process. I tried to get this resolved via phone and email but finally went to the store in person. Becky, our salesperson, followed up and sent a furniture refinisher who did a fine job in repairing the damage. We were pleased that Johnson Flooring stood behind their work. One surprise that we encountered was that the entire cost of the flooring project had to be either paid for or financed up front. Normally, we prefer to pay a (significant) deposit up front and the balance upon satisfactory completion. Johnson has been in business for a long time and, based on our experience, we were satisfied in the end.

We didn't hear from them for over two weeks after we paid for the tile. We finally called them to find out when our tile was ready to be installed. They said they'd start the job on the next Monday. Late Monday morning a team came out and removed the old flooring. That went fine, but that's all they did. The next day, one man came out and installed new underlayment. That's all that happened that day because the tile wasn't even delivered yet. The third day he installed the tile, and did really nice work. The fourth day he did the grout, but it was the wrong color. Luckily we caught it before he was very far along and he went and got the right grout and fixed it. Then when he was done and moved the oven back, it didn't work. For such a small job it shouldn't have taken four days and so many miscommunications. We were very inconvenienced. No one ever apologized or tried to make it right.

I like the carpet installation. I would have preferred the hardwood to be installed by direct employees rather than a subcontractor. When everything is said and done, we are satisfied.

The work was done in a timely manner. Work stopped early the first day as one of the workers injured himself and left with the truck that had the glue and they had to stop when they used what they had in the house. They removed all of the molding @ my request. I was somewhat disappointed that they did not leave any of the unused flooring. This will cause a problem down the road should a repair need to be made. Al in all however I was pleased with the work.

We ordered the hardwood and then in about 2- 3 days they called us to let us know when the materials would be in and asked when we wanted it installed? We then gave them a date and they did not even question it or try to change it . Which was great. The installers arrived on time and got busy moving furniture out of the way. They carried all materials in the house and got busy. Asked if we had any squeaks in our floor and they used electric drill and screwed screws in to prevent new flooring from making noises, hammered in nails that was used in subflooring, sanded the subfloor, swept up the dust from sanding. Perfection was their primary purpose in putting in our flooring. Put in living room, dining room, kitchen, long hallway and office flooring in 2 days. After the flooring was in these guys used a swifter to dust the floor and then they put pads under every piece of furniture that would touch the hardwood. These men did a Great job and was very meticulous in the work they did. We have no complaints in this company and would definitely buy from them again.

We ordered and paid for 1/2 of the purchase. One week later we got a call that the tile had been discontinued. We selected a different tile and waited for it to come in. The planned two day project took five days. I never dreamed it would make such a mess of myentire house. We hung sheets over the doorways but saw dust is everywhere. They didn't arrive on time any of the days they were here. I had to call to ask where the work crew was and then they would show up in about 20 minutes. They worked until 8:00 pm or 9:00 pm each day. We took vacation time from work for them to do the job. I could have worked 1/2 days if I had known they weren't going to get there before noon. The grout color wasn't correct. They told me it would take one day to get another grout here. It was three days before they came to finish the job. Late arrival again. I expected them by 9:00 am. They didn't get here until 12:30. After they left we discovered they didn't re-do the area under the refrigerator or the stove that had the wrong grout color. I asked to have it fixed when I paid the balance. They never called to schedule the work so I called the scheduler direct. It took him two days to get back to me. The worker called and said he would come on Friday March 21st. He didn't show up or calll. He called again on March 22 and came out and replaced the grout under the refrigerator with the right color.
The floor is beautiful but was a real fiasco to get it completed.

I would highly recommend this company. The installer was very skilled. Jarod Johnson is an excellent designer for tile work. I gave them a D on responsiveness because they were supposed to order carpet and call when it got here. They never called.

I decided I wanted to use this company because Jarod Johnson is very knowledgeable about tile layout and helpful with the design that looks best. I would say he is an outstanding designer when it comes to tile. He is an extremely nice individual to deal with.















The gentleman who installed the tile is an absolute artist. He did excellent job. It is beautiful thanks to his craftsmanship. He is a hard worker and uses his time very efficiently. His attention to detail and years of experience is an asset to this company.















I would suggest that if you hire this company make sure your material is ordered when it is supposed to be. Make sure when the installers show up they know what their scope of work is. You should always do this.

very punctual; all services were provided when and as stated. price shopped and the quality and price of the carpet was less than other carpets where prices were checked. other places overestimated the amount of carpet needed and the carpet quality wasn't as good. also I asked what would happen if potential problems arose and I was given the answer for these questions. I felt that was more honest and realistic than stating this couldn't or wouldn't happen. so far no problems with our carpet and very pleased with our choice for service.

Service was carpet purchase and instal....had problem with carpet not being what was ordered....Mohawk rep and Vendor worked together to replace the carpet and the vendor covered all of the costs....all that I could have asked
