Instant Dri

The supervisor, John, kept me informed every step of the way.

It was necessary for me to cancel job since I sold house and no longer needed this nice of a system. I called on 8/15 and left a message that I wanted to cancel. A representative called back and I explained that I sold the house and therefore would not need this nice of a system. The representative said he would let the owner know. I left a message again on 8/22/2016 inquiring about my $750.00 deposit. As of 8/31 2016 I have not heard back from anyone about my deposit or the job. Shame on me for putting up a deposit but shame on Instant Dri for not getting back and working with me. I do not need a $1500.00 dehumidifier in a crawl space I no longer own.

I was especially pleased with the work performed by Instant Dri.  They cleaned all of the junk out in the crawlspace as they started.  They sealed all of the vents to the outside and this looks very clean inside the foundation where they did this.  They first removed all the existing insulation between the floor rafters.  Then they applied an anti-mold and anti-fungus cleaner by scrubbing all the areas where there was any evidence of mold or fungus.  They then installed a black felt layer on top of the existing dirt/ gravel floor.  Finally they installed white plastic on the floor and walls and covered all of the support pillars.  Walls are 12 mil and the floor is 20 mil.  Lastly, they installed a commercial dehumidifier with a remote indicator that we use on a cabinet in the house to see the temperature and humidity under the house.  (this looks like an indoor/outdoor weather station).  They hauled away all of the old insulation and trash they generated.  Very clean worksite.
The owner did the initial sales call and fully explained the process and his recommendations.  We had a couple other offers where it looked they were offering things not really needed and they were not as competitive.

Instant Dri did a great job.  It took a little longer than expected, but that created no problem for us. A couple of times they were short-handed a worker or two.  That, plus the extent of the job, maybe creating the delay.  The encapsulation inside the crawl space came out very clean and professional looking, just like you see in the photographs. Instant Dri also did some extra drainage digging around the yard for us, as our yard is very flat and low lying.  That was included in the cost, as well. They showed up on time and worked until quitting time. We are very pleased with the work they provided and would certainly call on them again for any type of similar work.  Their work comes with a lifetime guarantee, I believe, also.

Came late Thursday. Had to go find equipment and supplies. 30-45 minute drive. Didn't start until Friday morning. Left two young men to start that had no idea of what to do. Started actual work after noon. Used a gas saw. We all got sick from carbon monoxide. Alarm went off. Left Sunday evening. Left tools and wheelbarrow and basement a mess. One brought his wife and three boys out here to run around unattended. I have 23 pictures of the mess. I will not use Angie's List again or recommend you.

I was referred to Insta Dri by a local realtor (Insta Dri) does not advertise; they apparently stay busy enough by word of mouth.  The owner came to my home and did a very professional inspection.  He was knowledgeable and courteous.  I obtained a comparative quote which came in about the same amount, but it involved 12 mil plastic instead of the 20 mil Insta Dri installed.  Also, Insta Dri gives a lifetime warranty for the home which is transferrable to future owners.  Insta Dri is not cheap, but they do a good job, have a good product, and in my opinion enhance the home's resale value due to the transferrable warranty.
