From start to finish totally professional. Quality was great and crews were timely and respectful of our property. A fabulous experience.

I called the office, and was contacted by Brandon a few hours later.  We made arrangements for him to come out and do an estimate the next day.  When he was detained by another job, he called to let me know he was sending Travis is his place, and Travis arrived at the scheduled time.  He was very nice and very professional and gave me an estimate in less than 30 minutes.  When I asked how long before I could schedule them to put on the new roof, he said they could do it at the end of the week!  I 
I called the following week to schedule a time with them, and Travis came out a few days later so I could choose my roofing shingles.  They were delivered within 2 days, and the dumpster the day after that.  The crew arrived at 11am on a Thursday, worked until 8pm. Travis called me to let me know about the wood that would need to be replaced and the cost.   The crew returned the following day at 8am and finished up around 4.  The clean up was very thorough - I only found a few pieces of my old roof when I mowed the lawn later that week.  
In all, the company was prompt, polite and helpful through every step.  I would use them again and recommend them to others.

We have been nice and patient.  They fixed a few things but they still have things to finish.  They did my concrete pouring, it cracked, after a long battle, they came back an re-poured, only to have it crack again, with no fix.  We had problems with the siding.  We found that there was a termite problem underneath the siding.  We had to find termite remediation contractors.  We fixed this and now we want them to come back and finish fixing the siding. He agreed to fix it last year, sent someone to fix but we had to mitigate the termites before it could be fixed. Now, they won't call us back. The owner was very professional.  The crew was not.  They left an incredible mess on my property during the job.  I even have pictures.  I complained, the owner came and cleaned my property.

They were exceptionally good. They did a really good job and I was satisfied with their work. The guy who came was very honest and the craftsmanship was very good. They did it in a very timely manner and the product really looked good when they got through with it. As a matter of fact, the bill was about $800 and I gave them a check for a thousand.

The person came on a very hot day. Clean the roof and did some caulking. Took some pictures, that he showed me about things needed to be fixed. It did not take very long.

Overall work was completed in orderly manner and they were paid promptly.  We had a friend oversee the work as my husband and I were working during the installation.  
Problem arose when we were ready to install windows in the rest of the house.  We could never get them to respond with a quote despite repeated calls.  Eventually we gave up.

They were FANTASTIC! It was really convenient that we were able to get one general contractor to employ for every job we needed. They were able to schedule someone for all the subcontract work. We were happy to be able to get one estimate for all of these jobs! They were very nice, personable and answered all of our questions promptly. They would get an A++ in customer service!

Did a great job. Fast and efficient.

Basically, they really did not do anything. I would not recommend them. They were nice and professional enough. They were to inspect and I thought they were supposed to fix shingles. They did not fix one of them; it was obvious that it was drooping down. It was not very good but they did come out promptly.

We purchased the roofing inspection and maintenance through Angie's List back in the summer.  Homestead Construction contacted me immediately, but I deferred the service for quite a while (for various reasons).  When I decided to have the service done, it was rather hard to get it scheduled.  I kept calling the office and they said "we will have the right person call you", which then wouldn't happen.  I finally got the right number and called the person performing the service and he came right out.  That interaction could have been handled a lot better.
Once I got in touch with the service person, the experience was great.  The service person came out when he said he would.  He listened to the areas I was concerned about, looked over the roof, did some sealing where needed, and reattached a loose shingle.  He was prompt, courteous, efficient, and professional. 

Inspector showed up at the appointed time and was here for about an hour.

The representative was very professional and on time.  He went about his business and told us if we had any problems to call him..
I would call him again if I had a problem.

Chris was great.  He was actually able to come an hour earlier than originally planned.  Chris did a thorough inspection of my roof and then showed me pictures (which he will send to me) of issues and areas that he repaired.  I feel Chris was very efficient and did a great job.

Everything went just as it should have from the time I left a message to be called until the crew finished cleaning the construction debris in my yard.  No hesitation in calling them again if needed.

Contracted for the work  on 9/6/11. I picked out the roofing and informed the company of my choice. The roofers came in November and finished the roof in 3 days. The siding folks came in December and the guttering was installed in January along with the gutter guard. The siding fellows had to remove the upper shutters and replace them but lost 2 screws and 3 screw caps. They said they would be back the next day to fix that and they never showed up again. When I received the bill for the work done I had been charged what I contracted for but I guess the company had no idea that all of the siding wasn't replaced and the shutter issue was still hanging un-completed. I called the company and sent an email and received a call from Travis and he came and looked the situation over  today, 2/10/12 and has promised to correct the shutter issue. I told him as soon as it was fixed I would send the check in for the work. It just seemed that the siding crew that came had no clear direction as to what they were to do as I had to ask them to replace the siding on the porch which they only replaced half of it and also the fascia which they had not planned to do. I have used this contractor twice before for siding, shutters and a double french door replacing a sliding door and was always pleased with their work. Their quality of work is by far the best in comparison with other companies.
It could be that they are  and have been overwhelmed with the amount of work since the hailstorm in April 2011. I am sure this will be finished in the next week.

Work was done professionally, and in a Timely manner.  This was an Outstanding experience particularly at a time when hundreds of homes in Knoxville area were in need of repair.   John Schneider (Homestead Construction) was definitely a hands on contractor, and followed up regularly with work progress on the home.  We would not hesitate to recommend his company to anyone needing this type of service.

This was a great experience. They worked until 8 PM the first day and finished the job in 2 days. It really made the house look so much better. The porch was not finished (I think they just forgot about it) and I called them back and they came right back and finished it. If your soffit and facia are wooden and need painting and new wood I would highly recommend capping with no fuss, no muss, much better looking, and no maintenance vinyl
