About us
Hiwassee Builder's Supply was founded by Mr. & Mrs. George Clark in January 1958. Our first store was located downtown on the square in Athens with our lumber yard located on top of Depot Hill. In 1972 Hiwassee Builder's Supply moved from downtown Athens to our current location top of Depot Hill. Since 1958, we have grown with our community and the surrounding area. In 2007, we opened our second location in Knoxville TN off of Lovell Rd under the name Marvin Planning Center. With a focus on high quality millwork, we serve the Knoxville Area with outstanding service before, after and during the sale. The Marvin Planning Center name was later changed to Hiwassee Window and Door to match its home office. In 2010 we opened our third location in downtown Chattanooga TN at the corner of S Hickory St and E 23rd St with a focus on engineered components and pre-manufactured trusses. Hiwassee Structural Products offers a staff of engineered wood products designer and technical sales with over a combined 100 years of experience in the industry willing to help with any size project. Our 57,000 square foot warehouse keeps our pine lumber inside prior to being manufactured. Also inside our warehouse, we have a 100' floor truss table and a 140' roof truss table ensures that we are your only source for all your truss needs. We maintain a specialized delivery fleet so that we can bring timely and orderly flow of goods to your project. Since our beginning in 1958, we have been committed to supplying our community and the surrounding area with top quality materials at fair prices without sacrificing service. Our experienced staff is dedicated to making your trade with us as pleasant and efficient as possible. We are members of LMC, the nation's largest member Co-op for forest products with more than a billion dollar buying power. We are a full service lumber yard able to assist you with materials, value comparisons, and plan estimates. With locations in Athens, Knoxville, and Chattanooga, our experienced team looks forward to working with you on your next project.
