HH GREGG

Can't imagine a worse experience.

It appears to be a bait and switch.  They quoted one price for installation and upon delivery they said another item had to be purchased before installation could be completed.  Customer service was incredibly unhelpful.  The salesperson seemed lost during the entire transaction.

this is review of HHGregg extended warranty. We paid $370 for extended warranty on Samsung refrigerator. After 16months, unit stopped cooling, called warranty service, 1st available apt was 6 days off. Waited, service never showed up. have been on phone w/ hhgregg, warranty provider & service co.  Have gotten no satisfaction, explanation or rescheduling. DO NOT BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY.  IT IS A SHAM.

They have excellent service and pricing are just right.

Overall, our experience was good. The pricing was inline with other appliance stores and the deilver was completed within one day of purchase on 9/12/2008. Delivery personnel were punctual and friendly. No complaints with service received.

When we lived in Cleveland, OH. We loved HH Gregg because we found so many great deals at their store. The scratch and dent items are a steal. We had purchased a refrigerator and dishwasher that were "scratched" but you couldn't see the scratches and we saved several hundred dollars as a result. The delivery was perfect and the guys were conscientious. So, when we moved back to the mountains we expected to have the same experience when we were ready to fill our new kitchen with appliances and heard the new HH Gregg store opened up at Turkey Creek. As the store was new the scratch and dents were not an option, besides we were wanting a specific line in our kitchen and were willing to spend the money. We felt we found a good price and placed the order in the store. We hadn't completely settled on the refrigerator so we held off on that purchase. John Wells, the guy who waited on us, was attentive and informed. We made arrangements on delivery and left the store. After searching elsewhere for a refrigerator we decided to get one at HH Gregg. As I was working on the house, my wife went back to the store and sought out John since he was so nice the first time. That didn't turn out so well as John was very abrupt and seemed very annoyed at having to take our order. He also left in the middle of the order taking process to go wait on another couple leaving my wife stranded for fifteen minutes (the store had plenty of other sales staff standing around at the time). The delivery of the first set of appliances went without a hitch, the refrigerator delivery is another story: When the driver opened the door of the truck to retrieve the refrigerator the refrigerator was sitting at a 45 degree angle against one of the walls. They hadn't secured the load. We accepted the delivery with the caveat that it could be returned. Needless to say it had to be returned. They scratched deep gouges in my newly laid hardwood floor putting it it the kitchen. The second delivery was better but they put even more scratches on the floor. The weakest link in the HH Gregg system is their delivery service. I'm sparing you a lot of details but this is the nightmare of my experience. The delivery service is not a part of HH Gregg, they are sub-contractors. When you get a delivery from HHS Gregg, be there when it's delivered and make sure you look it over really well. Now we know why we were able to get those great deals in Cleveland.

The television has blown lamps twice, in less than a year. When searching the web, I see a number of other folks with the same problem.
