"Im sorry, but this appears to be a misunderstanding that often comes with conversations that happen over the phone. Do we stock high end bikes? Yes, a few. Do we stock anywhere near the number we sell? No. The needs of individual riders are extremely diverse and the offerings by the vast number of brands we represent is pretty immense. Top that with the fact that the entire southeast adds up to only 2% of the US bike economy, and you may be able to understand why we may not have a bike similar to what you are looking for from one of our many higher end brands. Hopefully, with the right conversation, a knowledgeable shop employee could help guide you to an appropriate bike, for your riding, from a company with an excellent reputation, and is very competent throughout the fitting process, to where the leap of faith associated with spending what is a very serious amount of money has been greatly reduced. Is this a normal retail experience? No. Does it work well for our loyal customers every day? Most certainly. This is how the majority of our, and other local shops must operate in the high end market and remain viable. Im sorry we didn't have a similar bike for you to try, we often times do, but just as often do not, and that the conversation you had left you no more confident in our ability to serve you.
