Painting crew was 4 weeks behind schedule, did not clean up and overall workmanship was sub par compared to the painters hired to clean up the job...

.We were referred to Mr. Rucker by an associate on our Job.
Due to the size and scope of work we paid them by the hour. Our mistake. Get a FIRM FIXED PRICE and a detailed scope of work.
Their billing hours were highly suspect, and confirmed by a six hour error on a final billing when we terminated the relationship and hired another contractor. We requested a refund and it was never received.
Good luck on when they'll finish. They didn't have a schedule you could rely on, they'd promise to be there and wouldn't show for days later on multiple occasions.
They all smoked and took smoke breaks constantly. Their transportation was unreliable, some of them would ride together, if the car broke down, they wouldn't show

Home projects always take a bit longer than expected, especially when you are outside and rain can slow the project down. This was no exception but Harold and his crew showed up, cleaned up, and did their work. They were also especially nice to our kids - an added bonus!

Was recommended by a friend who is a realtor. They use him to ready a house after selling. Harold came and gave a estimate that seemed fair for the # of years he had been painting. Means he had a good reputation and would complete the job. He told me about the paint he liked and said I could buy it or he could with a contractors discount. I let him. He was well dressed and neat and knew painting. He arrived promptly on the scheduled day and I left for a few days. He is completely trustworthy and he completed the job magnificiently in the scheduled time and cleaned up nicely. Would highly recommend

each day there was a walk through of what was to be done before the work began. on 1st day, Mr Rucker walked around the house and pointed out specific concerns that we'd communicated to him when he came out to provide a quote for the work. the 2-man crew arrived on-time each day. the prep work was tedious but very well done. crew was very easy congenial and polite. newly installed aluminum clad windows were all covered before panting around them began. paint was applied with sprayer and the resulting finish was very pleasing.
