Fox Moving and Storage of East Tennessee

I had an incredible experience with Fox Moving Company during our recent move. This morning, three movers arrived right on time and immediately got to work. They were professional, friendly, and had great personalities, making the whole process much easier. Their efficiency and strategic approach were impressive, and it was clear they knew exactly what they were doing. Halfway through the move, two additional team members joined in. Just like the original three, they were courteous and personable, seamlessly fitting into the team. The camaraderie among the group was evident, and they worked together like a well-oiled machine, even with the added challenge of moving from a third-floor condo to a house with a steep driveway. Despite the complexity of our move, they kept up their energy and positivity. One of the movers even noticed me considering repositioning a desk at the end of the move and didn’t hesitate to offer assistance, which was incredibly thoughtful. We also have three dogs, and I was pleased to see how well the movers interacted with them. They were all so kind, turning a potentially stressful situation into a pleasant one for everyone, pets included. I’m so glad I chose Fox Moving Company, especially after reading so many positive reviews on Reddit Knoxville. My first contact with Fox was Jose, who set the tone for the entire experience. He was professional, helpful, and made everything easy, from the initial inquiry to signing the contract online, all within a week. The company even provided us with some free boxes, which was a generous and much-appreciated gesture. In summary, Fox Moving Company made our move smooth and hassle-free. I’m grateful to the entire team for their hard work, teamwork, and positive attitude, to Jose for his excellent customer service, and to Fox Moving for employing such dedicated and caring individuals. I will be recommending them to everyone I know, and if we ever need to move again (though I hope not anytime soon), Fox will be my first choice.

Absolute fantastic experience! Starting with scheduling, I had an unexpected move that I needed done within 7 days. Not only did Michelle fit me in her schedule, she called back with an earlier time for me! The movers were fantastic, friendly and just downright awesome! And the price? Very reasonable, they had everything done and moved within 1.3 hours, granted it was a local move, but they don't waste time. I will always use FM&S for all my local moves!

WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WORK ETHICS. First off, they gave me a contract for 2 hours of work with 3 men moving us. Only two men showed up to move us. With us paying hourly they said they would give us a discount since obviously it would take longer to move. I was moving out of a 650 sq ft house with no living room furniture and no dining room furniture. Our new house was 13 miles away. It should have taken no longer then 3 hours to move what we had, considering we had NO large furniture. It somehow took them 6.5 hours to move us costing us OVER $700 which is almost THREE TIMES the original amount they quoted us and sent us a contract for. When we attempted to call the company the next day to figure out how in the world this could happen they not only called us a liar for claiming only two men showed up. According to Fox Moving they do not keep in contact with their employees so they do not know if someone doesn't show up for their moving shift therefor they cannot let us know if we wont have the amount of people we were promised. On top of that they refused to reimburse us or even apologize for the absolute mess they caused because it was all our fault. They claimed to have given us a discount which was equivalent to $20. This place is a literal joke and they have no respect for work ethics, themselves, or their customers. I would hire ANYONE in Knoxville before i even gave them a second look. I got four different moving quotes before i settled with Fox. IF fox was actually upfront about all of their hidden costs and tricks they play to intentionally make the move last longer then it needs to which in return forces you to pay WAY more then they quote you, then Fox would have never even been a consideration. Even other moving companies that quotes me five hours worth of labor were only $550, yet this was somehow $705 for Foxes services? Do yourself a favor and DO NOT even consider Fox or any kind of movers.

Our move was a multi generational move. We hired 3 guys, as we did from our originating point. That being said the workers complained multiple times that we had "too much stuff" and they complained about how the trucks were packed/loaded. They were not working efficiently, with each guy taking single boxes to individual rooms, rather than having one guy unloading and grouping the boxes, inside the truck and the other 2 taking things to the rooms. It wasn't until the very end they started using the 2 wheeled dolly and stacking boxes. We ended up with boxes in the incorrect rooms, and when they placed the boxes, they didn't stack them against the walls, or leave a path but instead just randomly put them in the rooms making it very difficult to get in to unpack them. We have moved multiple times so we are very familiar with how the process should go and we were not very happy with this company. I can not say I would use this company again or recommend them.

We chose 4 men to try to get our things moved in one day. Only 3 guys showed up initially and the 4th guy showed up an hour late and then left for a couple of hours and came back at the end. They hit our gutter with their truck. It was obvious to us that they were not very knowledgeable or skilled on how to appropriately move furniture. They broke my daughter's dresser. After 8 hours they said that we would be charged an overtime rate, at this time we said no one ever discussed any overtime charges. After speaking to Sunny the office manager, he said since the paperwork was not filled out properly we would not be charged overtime. At that point the movers started quickly unloading the truck and left our belongings in our garage instead of taking them into the house like they were supposed to. After our things were left in our garage I tried to reach out to Jeff multiple times and multiple times I was told that someone would call me back, but no one returned my call. When I tried to call them back I was hung up on almost every time. The office secretary yelled at me and hung up on me. After my husband finally spoke to Jeff he said he was giving us a 5% discount. To me that does not compensate for the poor service we received, the damage to our belongings or how we were treated.
