Very pleased with the service that Fleenor provides. Very professional people to deal with it. They go out of their way to assist you.

The information on  Angie's List Web site is not accurate.  The new magazine does state Fleenor Security is now Protection 1. I received the magazine AFTER the install.  The person who answered the phone was not aware of Angie's List or the local name.  The sales was all over the phone not a person who comes to the  home and talk you through the best option per the original add and reviews.  Sales was a bit pushy.  While I was talking I did a search to see who Protection 1 is.  The Jury is still out as to the quality of product and service. The [*** Link removed ***] does not go to a protection 1 website it goes to ASG security.  Perhaps they were bought out by Protection 1??? not sure yet.

The service installer was professional and prompt.  We decided to change the order as the guy on the phone could not see all the issues that were involved with my security in my home. The price quoted stayed the same.  I found this very frustrating and the service person was sympathetic to the issue and was more helpful than the sales person on the phone. 

I had to answer yes or no if I would go with this company again.  I answered no, and I may change it if I find the service is as good as they say it is. 

They have had to come back to fix the keypad three times.  I work full time and had to take vacation time for each repair since they were not able to accommodate my schedule.  Two technicians told me that it was their first time seeing the type of keypad I had.  It has turned out to be a nightmare experience.  Then I call the service rep and was told they were holding over 300.00 of my money in their account.  She did not know why.  I asked for it to be returned.  They sent me a refund check, but then three days later I got a bill for the amount she sent back to me.  If I knew then what I know now, I would not have their services.

IT WENT VERY WELL. INSTALLER DID A PROFESSIONAL JOB. THE SYSTEM WORKS FINE. IT WAS SOMEWHAT MORE EXPENSIVE THAN A DIY INSTALLATION BUT I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO DO IT MYSELF.

I was supposed to get a discount for being an Angie's List member, but never received it. 

Went well as always!  Was on time and as scheduled.  I have been with Fleenor about 20 years.  They are in Knoxville.  That is important to ME.  Service has been great.  Lost my system to lightening several years ago.  They were right on it and worked with insurance company to get new system back on line quickly.

We are pleased with our Feenet service.  We are saving money and have had no service outages.  We had repeated problems with the phone lines going out of service.

The latest visit was to replace the emergency back-up battery. The service provider was friendly,expedient, explained his work, and left the work area neat and clean.  As usual, the  service was above-and-beyond, just what I've come to expect from Fleenor!

This is a good alternative to the alarm services that bombard you with advertising.  ADT and others basically market like the cell phone industry and give you an alarm system for little or no up front money and then charge you about $20 a month over a 4 to 5 year period.  The problem is there is that you continue to have to pay them the same high monthly cost after the alarm system is paid off if you continue to live at the property.  Usually they lock the control panel so you cannot go to another monitoring service after the lease term.  Fleenor does not lock their systems, but you may not find someone else who is set up to monitor your specific system.  Go with wireless systems.  If you are tied to a land line, a thief can cut your phone line and then just break in.  The wireless systems have battery backups that last a couple years before needing a new battery.

I wanted to have security cameras installed to be able to see outside around my house, but they said they only do that for commercial companies. They could do it, they said, but it would be about 3 times more than another estimate I'd gotten. We decided we had to go with another company.

They were very easy to work with and I don't have anything negative to say about them. Both the monitoring and sales staff were very good, but they were just unable to provide the visual monitoring I wanted at a good price.

My overall experience with Fleenor has been very good.  I started by calling to set up an appointment for an estimate.  I received some information from the receptionist and then was turned over to a sales person.  Gina called back within a few hours, answered some of my preliminary questions and we set up an appointment for her to do an estimate within a day.  Gina's responsiveness was fantastic.  She arrived exactly on time, sketched the general layout of my home and gave me suggestions for alarm placement.  When it came to picking out a control panel, things got a little confusing for me.  She brought one that she recommended, but I had read a little on-line about some other options and when I asked her about other options I felt like they could have been explained to me a bit better.  I was overwhelmed and I needed time to process everything.  Gina did recognize this and did not pressure me to sign any contracts that day.  I really appreciated that very very much.  I proceeded to continue to research my options on-line as well as talk to other people who also use Fleenor.  This was where I got most of my education about the different control panels.  I was then able to organize my thoughts and formulate some more questions.  When I called Gina back a week or so later she again was extremely responsive and answered all of my questions to the point that I was confident in their product.  We then met to sign the contract and arrange an installation date.  The installation went great.  The installer was right on time, competent, and trustworthy.  We had a small hitch getting my system on-line, but he knew who to call and got the problem worked out within minutes.  He did mention that they did not install many of the systems that I have so he was not as familiar with it as some others.  My system has worked perfectly since, including testing and a false alarm where the central station called back within two minutes.
Fleenor will tell you that they are not the least expensive and that is probably true.  For me though the fact that they are well trained, local, and trustworthy more than made up for the price.
I would recommend Fleenor highly, but be prepared to do some additional homework if you are not familiar with how alarm systems work and what you can do with them.  Think about whether you want a phone app or texting or just a system without the additional technology.  They can do it all and for me it was a bit confusing until I understood.
