Ellenburg Landscaping

We were very happy with Ellenburg Landscaping after being unsatisfied with others over the past 10 years. The plants were in good condition since they were hand picked by Greg Ellenburg, either from their nursery or from other sources. His recommendations were sound, the work was done when promised, and he was terrific to work with. Landscaping is always quite expensive, and Ellenburg is not the cheapest, but we've learned through experience that in the long run it's not worth dealing with the cheapest. He did keep costs down by recycling existing plants by re-locating several, and when there was a minor issue it was corrected before the day was out. Highly recommended!

He likes to talk to you about what you think you would want in your yard. He walks around with you and he plans it out and shows you what he think is going to be good based on what you tell him. He listens to what you want.

He has been planting trees and bushes for years and mulching and just doing things to spruce up my yard. I had one of the trees he planted fell over when we had a big ice storm. He came out. He didn't charge me. He some guys pull it back up and replant it, trying to get it to stand up and put some stakes in the ground.

I had a bunch of stuff done. He planted a couple of bushes. He planted a tree and mulch and all that. One time he came out, I think it was about $1000. He did multiple things. He buried a line for my gutter away from my house. He planted some trees, like a birch tree and a couple of other bushes and another tree. He did a lot for that. If you want your yard to look really great and have somebody that knows what they are doing and knows what you need for each area of your yard and the type of yard you have, he would be the best.

He's wonderful. He's not cheap but he knows what he's doing. He does a great job. He has his own nursery here where you can go buy plants. He does commercial and residential. He's expensive. He's not cheap. I have had everything in my yard done. He planted all my trees, all my bushes. I just had tons of stuff done by him.

I was extremely happy. He did a great job. I would definitely recommend him to anyone with landscaping needs.

The tree had been planted for about 2 weeks prior to going out of town for 10 days. During that time I had set the sprinklers to water every day. It rained most of the time we were gone. When we returned the leaves were turning brown. I went to Ellenburg's with a few leaves from the tree just to see what was wrong. They sent a horticulturalist to take a look at the tree. That very afternoon, they called and said the tree was overwatered and would not survive. The cherry tree was given to me as a memorial to my brother.
Ellenburgs said that they would not only replace it, but insisted on planting it too. I can't remember when I ever had better service.
I highly recommend them for all your gardening needs.

Everything went very well. I was very pleased. They are just really good. They know their plants. I would use them again in the future.

Our neighbors had Ellenberg Landscaping build a retaining wall around their front porch flower bed and we liked how theirs turned out so I called Greg Ellenberg to quote a similiar job for us. At that time, Ellenberg Landscaping did not have any reports on Angie's List. First, Greg came out to give us a free estimate and make suggestions. The first retaining wall block he brought out for us to look at, we did not care for, so he suggested fieldstone. It was a little more expensive, but I like the look much better. He gave us an estimate for both types of material. We accepted the estimate and paid 1/2 of the total. We set a date for the work to be done - Greg had to order the materials. He was actually able to do the work earlier than scheduled, which was fine with us. We did not have to be at home since the job was outside. We came home to a beautiful retaining wall, done perfectly and just how we had requested and envisioned it. Greg used high quality mulch. Greg called the next day to make sure everything was done the way we wanted it. I received an invoice and paid the remainng 1/2. We are enjoying our beautiful flower bed now. I would highly recommend Ellenberg's Landscaping. They did the work on time and to specifications and at the estimated price.
