I had wanted 10 vents, I main vent and one return cleaned as per a coupon found in the mailing.  Once they got here, they found other things to add on to this 99.95 special.  They added crawl space service and other issues with the crawl space. This took the total up to over 700.00.  I felt pressure to do this.  They actually had quoted me a higher price nearer 1000 but when I declined, they got the owner on the phone to strong arm me and then lowered the price.  I agreed because the crawl space had never been addressed before and I felt that it was bound to need it, so I went along with the lower price that he came down to.  They moved furniture in the home to get to vents and unplugged my lamps etc to plug their equipment in, which I expected, but they left all the furniture moved and my lamps unplugged.  I told them that I had to leave for work and they said that they did not need to be in the house any longer, but they had one of their machines plugged into my foyer outlet and the door could not be closed.  I also had pets in the house that I had to watch to make sure that they did not go out the door that they had left open.  I could not leave for work.  They worked another 2 hours or so, coming in and out of the home, tramping in what could only be described as soot or filth.  They did not wear shoe covers.  The upstairs intake that they had cleaned was left open without the filter in or the cover closed.  They then left the crawl space door open which I did not notice for several days which allows animals to come in and out of my crawl space.  It took several washings of my kitchen and foyer floor to get all the dirt up.  I wrote the owner a letter and he finally called me back a week or so later, stating that this did not sound like his workers.  He apologized and offered a free inspection in the Spring of 2015.  I told him that I would probably not remember this offer and he stated that I did not have to worry, they would call me in the Spring to set this up.  Needless to say, I did not get a call from anyone.  I would NEVER use these people again.  They are pushy, unprofessional and expensive.   I noticed that they are still putting discount coupons in the mailers and I wanted to warn people about this.

I only needed 7 vents cleaned, so they did that and then they cleaned the intake and return areas. As one person went through the house doing these tasks, another man sought to raise the services and thereby the costs of their visit. He went down a litany of other jobs they needed to do because they went ahead and looked under my house to check out things there (without telling me) and then found all sorts of things that needed attention. I agreed to only a portion of what they wanted to do because I knew that no one had really cleaned the air vents under the house in a very long time so I agreed to that, but I told them I had an issue with how long all this would take and I told them I had to get to work. They said that once they finished the inside of the house they would not need me there, which was a lie, because they continued to use my outlet for their power from the inside which meant I could not lock up the house and leave with the cord going from the front the door to my indoor outlet. They worked for another 2 hours, holding me up from going to work. Once they left, I found all sorts of issues: their equipment that they dragged through the house was dirty as were the bottoms of their shoes which left a black sooty residue on all my floors, they left the intake upstairs wide open with the filter thrown on the floor, they moved furniture in order to plug in their equipment and did not move the furniture back, they unplugged things that I had plugged into outlets and did not put those back either, and they left the crawl space door wide open. I wrote a detailed letter to the owner about all of this, expecting maybe a phone call or a letter in response, but received nothing. Beware of these coupons that promise one service because they are clearly there to find more issues to up the price of their visit and then they do not handle their services with professionalism.

Preformed work on time, and as explained before starting. The 2 workers was courteous, professional, and knew what they were doing. They went over everything, and showed me (in person) before beginning work. Prior to starting we agreed to price (in writing), no pressure was exhibited by them. The leader did call his boss to help me get a discount.



I did learn they are opening an office in Chattanooga.

I would recommend the company, and their service to my friends, and neighbors.

The technicians were very friendly and arrived in the time frame and called before however they did not use shoe covers and had to ask for a flashlight. They did offer many extra items as I expected and I did feel some pressure to purchase those items. After the cleaning we talked about the other items again (I had to wait until my husband got him to discuss). The technician called to get a better price and to schedule for another time to complete (it was getting late 7pm). From the sound of things his boss wanted him to get everything done today and to not come back another time. I felt this was rude on his part since it was already so late. The technician was willing to work with us and try to come back another time if he was in the area and had time (with out his boss' approval I'd imagine). We received a call later from the technician that he was no longer with that company (and I can understand why) and he mailed our check for the additional items that were not scheduled to be completed. I later received a call from the company asking about the additional items and I cancelled the appointments.
The work seems satisfactory for what was done and the price was fair but took some haggling. I didn't have a great feeling that the technicians and manager were aligned that the customer needs are first. I give great applause for the technicians integrity for returning my check (and not turning it in until the work was done).

It went very well. The workers were cordial and explained all they would do and did it as stated. No complaints! I would recommend them.

They were professional, helpful and courteous. They explained everything thoroughly; no pressure. We were pleased with what they did.

My experience with E.E.S. is one of the worst I have had. When a service company does me a good job at a reasonable price, I'll say good things about them. For example, I gave Cornerstone Builders a glowing report on Angie's List when they did a wooden deck for me in October 2011. Cornerstone has built me two beautiful decks at two houses, one in 1988 and another in 2011. But E.E.S. WILL NOT BE DOING ANY MORE WORK FOR ME!
I started my search for air duct cleaning by getting five estimates by phone. Two highly-rated companies on Angie's list quoted me $260 and $315 for a complete system cleaning. I called E.E.S. because of a their $99 coupon to clean 10 ducts, a main vent, and a return vent. Their office warned me that the price did not include cleaning the and quot;main lineand quot; which would cost $50-150 extra. I thought, and quot;Well, the $99 plus a main line of, say, $100 would still be a good deal.and quot; At any rate, the B.B.B. did not have any complaints on E.E.S.--they just did not have ANY information on them. So, I took a chance and called them.

Their representative and a young helper came out, and they were nice enough. However, they gave me a total estimate of $388.
When I told them about other companies' estimates of $260 and $315, they protested that and quot;No company can clean an entire system for those prices and stay in business!and quot; Regretably, I allowed them to clean the air ducts, main and return vents, and fumigate the system for $199. Their fumigation did make the house smell nice--for how long I don't know.
The older guy ran hoses down my vents for one hour while the younger guy stood around. I still had to pay for the one guy to stand around. The fumigation took an additional 15 minutes. Total time? 1 1/4 hours at a cost of $199. In other words, E.E.S. charges per labor hour than more skilled electrical and plumbing companies.
Upon leaving, the two informed me that E.E.S. would be glad to lay down new plastic sheets in my crawl space and repair some sagging insulation in my crawl space. and quot;It will only take about two hours.and quot; they assured me. I asked them if they had someone else who did crawl spaces. and quot;No,and quot; they explained, and quot;the two of us do it.and quot; I expected an estimate of $250 or so. Their estimate? and quot;ONLYand quot; $1800!

They were pretty efficient with what they did and did a great job. They had good personalities and were very kind.

They had a coupon in a local flyer. They have done a good job because the dust doesn't seem to be bad. They tried to sell me other things when they came out, and that was kind of a disappointment. They were nice people and I don't have a complaint with them. I wouldn't rate them as outstanding.

On time, neat, replaced everything correct, three and half hours of work, and honest.
