It took several months to get the provider to come put the roof on after the insurance adjuster completed his portion.  When they showed up and put the roof on, they did not match some of the components with my trim on the eaves.  They did not replace the chimney cap like they were supposed to.  They left a gap in the ridge vent.  Some of the shingles were off the edge by 2 inches and some were flush with the edge.  The guttering system did not drain properly.
When it rained, I had leaks in my dining room and around my chimney in my living room.  I had them come back out and they said it was because of the chimney leaking.  I found it odd that I had never had any leaks until they put the new roof on.  They finally put the new chimney cap on and redid the shingles around the chimney and closed the vent cap.
They told me they weren't responsible for the leaks but I held them accountable to come back and fix the ceiling damage for the leaks.
However, I am still in the process of trying to get them to fix the damage to my ceiling.  I have wasted 9 vacation days where their contractor has not shown up to do the work, showed up without materials, showed up without a ladder, etc.
This is the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor.  If you see this company, do not use them.

I should have been suspect from the start.  Their representative appeared at my front door without any identification wearing cutoffs, flip-flops, and bright orange nail polish. The only thing that looked official was the referral sheet for a free hail damage inspection.  Initial contact with their credentialed sales rep was promising.  Things went down hill from here.  Once an agreement was signed, it took a while for the work to start.  We never saw a foreman.  They never called to notify us when work would be accomplished.  There was no quality control, no inspection of repairs for completeness. You had to ride herd on them all the time.  When they did show up and  respond to my concerns, I always felt it was an inconvenience.  They seemed to have no interest in doing the job right and to my satisfaction.  Their only concern was getting the insurance money.  More than once, I had to deal with an irate rep on the phone who proceeded to scold me for not paying my bill -  eventhough I had not received an invoice for any of the work completed.  These guys are storm chasers. Quality and customer service are not in their  vocabulary.  Avoid them at all costs.

There are some things we need to discuss about the property here. When Jeff Riffey first
came out to assess the damage, he assured me that he would take care of
everything for me if we would sign the check over to him and pay the
deductible. This included listing damages, contacting the insurance company,
and performing the repairs to restore my property. This arrangement sounded
good. I?m a busy man and didn?t want the hassle of dealing with
everything.
To me, this sounded like the panacea?the solution to everything.  He came out, I showed him everything that was
wrong and he put in the claim to the insurance company. When I finally saw the
claim after it had been submitted, he had left off a lot of things.
For example, there was a gutter in the front of the house, it was hanging down and the
gutter cover was hanging down from it as well. This was not included on the claim.
We would often go 3-5 weeks or more without hearing from Dream Home. We asked that we be
notified before anyone came out to do work, so we could be sure to be here and
see what was going on. Many times, we had a call from a member of our staff
saying that people were out of the pool deck doing work, and we had no idea
what was going on.
When we talked to Jeff about things that were not covered, he would blame the girl back
at the office, saying that she was new and going through training.
On one occasion, a woman from the insurance company was supposed to come out for a
re-inspection.
We have a gutter that runs the length of the pool (about 65-75 feet).  Jeff said ?I see quite a few dings in there
and I can show you were the dings are.? Since he had said that, I didn?t do a
thorough inspection of it myself. The woman from the insurance company came out
and said she couldn?t find anything. After she left, I did find some dents in
the gutter, but of course she had denied that claim and we didn?t get the
reimbursement for these 72 feet of gutter, which still is damaged, but has not
been replaced due to the ineptness of Dream Home.
I have a large deck with stairwell in the back of the house that had obvious damage from
the hail which Jeff was also supposed to claim, but didn?t.  He said that he would, but it never got done
and of course it was not covered.
There is a 40 foot long wooden deck with a built in bench that was hail damaged but not
included in the Dream Home list of damages to the insurance company. This
was  a costing mistake to me by your
agent.
There?s an 8 foot high fence that runs along the side of the property in front of the house
that obviously has hail damage on it and looks very bad. It wasn?t claimed
either. We also have a bench outside the pool area, which is about 40 feet long
and has obvious hail damage, but wasn?t claimed. Two picnic tables were also
damaged, but not claimed.  These are all
things that Jeff said he would take care of, but didn?t. We?d call him and he?d
be out of town or unavailable.
We need to talk about these things and when they?re going to get done, as well as about
the final billing. We talked to a woman at your company back in January who was
requesting payment?we requested a detailed invoice listing the expenses as they
came up. We waited for weeks and heard nothing. We?ve continued to ask for
things and it still takes a long time to get what we ask for.
I think we need to sit down and discuss this and see where we stand. On the last
?detailed? billing there were still many ?miscellaneous? charges, which is far
from detailed.

The work was okay. However, they caused a lot of extra work for me fixing their damages and mistakes. When the shingles were put onto the house, there were three leaks. They had to come out 3 times to fix the leaks, and it's still not completely repaired. They also damaged some of the stucco when stripping the shingles off of my roof. Also, some of the debris from their work ended up clogging my gutters. Overall I was not satisfied with their work or their service. I had to backcharge them to fix their errors.

Jeff Risey, the guy that came out to give the estimate and help with the insurance, was exceptional. They all have great personality. However, the job on my windows was so crappy; they left holes in my bricks inside and out. I had to call them, and they had to come back out and tried to fix it, but there was not much they could do. The staff is wonderful, but whoever hires the employees to come and do the work, hires the cheapest people they can find, and it usually means shoddy, crappy work.

Dream Home made a very daunting process so much easier by dealing directly with both my insurance company and mortgage company, which was great because with work and family and everything else I just didn't have time to do it all myself.

I can't say that having to fix up your house after such a bad storm is a fun and enjoyable experience, it isn't at all! I can say though that Dream Home helped me save time, and helped me get more damage covered than I would have, all with very friendly people and a lot of patience  :)

Overall I had a good experience and would recommend them, they did what they said they would, cleaned up and my house looks nicer now than it did before.

don't think they'll be getting it, and told the insurance claims agent that it smells like insurance fraud to me. I am awaiting further instructions from the insurance company so I can see I I need to hire a separate window installer, and guttering installer. And I'm not too confident that this new roof won't leak around my skylights.
AGAIN, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !
Response from Dream Home Restoration
"Hi Member, I'm terribly sorry to hear how your experience has been. If they have not been done already, we will address your concerns immediately. We do our very best to minimize any issues form arising in any project, but unfortunately in construction projects, it is inevitable problems arise. However, we will always do our best to right the issue as fast as we can. In regards to the insurance claim, I assure you we have operated in due process. As a restoration company, we work directly with the insurance company to finalize the costs to fully restore a home. We submit to the insurance company what, according to current building codes, it will take to build-back the home. The claim is then settled between the insurance company and us on the final costs. We take this report very serious, and the suggestion of insurance fraud is not something we take lightly. I would like the opportunity to sit down and better explain the process to you, and will reach you directly. Sincerely, DreamHome Management"

I didn’t use them but the estimate was pretty normal.  They offered taking care of our insurance deductable if we would put their sign out in our yard.  They were pretty much the same as other roofing companies.  They came to me for an estimate instead of the other way around, and that could be a little too much pressure for some people.

I love this company.  My representative Ben has been the most professional person I have worked with in a long time.  Actually answers his phone and if you do get the voice mail he does call you back.  They did a very professional and quick job.  With other roofers quoting months before someone could come out, they came out in 11 days after I signed my contract and installed my roof in one day and cleaned everything up.  I am having them put in windows and gutters and roof on my mother in-laws house.  They are just the greatest.
