It was a disaster.
These are very nice people, but they don't belong in the computer repair business.
I took my computers in to have my word processing files transferred from my old computer to a new one. When they gave me the computers back, I could not locate any transferred files. I took them back. The tech said, "Oh, they got lost." When they gave me the computers back, I could tell that only a fraction of the files had been transferred. I took them back. When they gave me the computers back, more of the files had been transferred. Almost immediately, however, the new computer malfunctioned. (The computer was five months old and had been working fine.) After an hour on the phone with HP technical support, the tech on the phone said, we'll have to send you a recovery disk. They did. I had to pay for the shipping. Then I learned from the recovery disk instructions that when I installed the contents, everything on the hard drive would be wiped out. That would be five months of work.
At this point I took the new computer in to another repair place. They saved the files from the new computer, installed the contents of the recovery disk, and got the new computer working again. All at a cost to me of $180.
I am very impressed with the new computer place. It is Computer Depot on North Peters Road in Knoxville.
I am very sorry I ever got involved with Computer Systems Plus.
