Complete Appliance Repair

We weren’t getting water or ice from our Frigidaire French door refrigerator. Barry was very nice and soft spoken but was not able to correctly repair our refrigerator. He replaced the valve that provided water to the fridge but put the water lines on backwards and therefore puddles of water turned to ice started forming in the bottom of the freezer. I called him to come back and he did and couldn’t identify the problem. He said our ice maker was broken. He disconnected it and it solved the problem of water in the bottom of the freezer but of course that meant no ice. I called a different repair company to come out and replace the ice maker and he identified that the valve repair was done improperly and that water wasn’t getting to the ice maker. Now ice maker is making ice again. Unfortunately I had to spend an extra $120 to find that out. I recommend Appliance Specialists of Knoxville instead.

Our attempts to clear the problem resulted in failure but Barry was quickly able to diagnose the problem and successfully provide a solution! We have not had a problem with our icemaker since! Two visits to fix the washing machine, courteous and professional.

Had a dryer that was squealing when the drum turned. Called and got scheduled next day, Barry arrived promptly, had the part necessary, and completed the repair in under 30 minutes. Replaced an idler pulley. Excellent service and reasonable cost. Very pleased, would use again without question.

Barry came out within two days and diagnosed the problem. Bad control board. He offered to fix, but advised that it might take up to 6 months to get the part from manufacturers. Considering this he encouraged me to go ahead and buy a new range - bad news for me, but very honest of him (since he wouldn't make any more money off of that). He even gave me some suggestions on good brands for the new one.

All I can say is "wow." Along with being kind and professional, he was able to diagnose and fix the problem quickly. I was so happy that I didn't have to get a new washer. I really appreciated his honesty.

it was done quickly and efficiently in under a 1/2 hour. unfortunately it still cost $120 labor plus the $180 part. For the amount of time it seemed rather excessive labor charges.

Based on reviews in Angie's List, I opted to call Complete Appliance Repair when my clothes washer quit working.  Although a one-man business, Barry was able to come out later the same day I called.  He diagnosed the problem within a few minutes, and provided me with options for repairing the washer.  Within the hour he had implemented the repair and was on his way.  His charges were fair and reasonable.  I will definitely consider Complete Appliance Repair for any future appliance repair needs.

Barry's assessment of the most likely cause & cost was right on target.  He contacted my tenant to schedule the repair, and then executed the repair in an efficient & professional manner.  He emailed me the invoice, and I called him to thank him & pay over the phone with a credit card.  Barry is great to work with, and I will most definitely use him again in the future.

Barry was completely forthright in informing me that all of my appliance needs would be better served by replacement than maintenance. He charged a modest service call charge for this diagnosis, when he easily could have offered to 'repair' one or all of my issues and made more money for himself. I will definitely be calling him for future needs.

This was an excellent experience. Mr. Comeaux arrived earlier than the appointed time. He examined the refrigerator and freezer and concluded that the freezer needed to be unblocked of ice inside the back panel.  This repair was done in about an hour, and the refrigerator is still working well.  In fact, two other repair persons had tried to fix this problem and failed.
