We have used Cedar Bluff Plumbing in the past and have had great service. Our most recent plumbing issue was more complicated than originally thought, but once again CBP, specifically Stephen Anderson, did an excellent job. Stephen was knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. He made sure our problem was completely resolved and put our minds at ease. I would highly recommend!

If I could give them zero stars I would. I have had a problem with my basement pipes for over a year. It began when they first came out to run a camera to find the problem. They only ran it in one direction and determined the problem was closer to the street. They then left without running the camera towards the house (which is where the actual was). They had to return and run the camera again to find the real problem. We paid for them to reroute the sewage pipes which are great. BUT. The installation of that caused a crack in the seal of a toilet which they blamed on us but we had not touched it??!! It also caused my sink drain to come apart from my sink and they had to fix that as well. It’s an intensive job, I get it but they didn’t check over their work to make sure it was complete and up to par. They also did not fill in with enough dirt in the front of the yard where they had to dig up. It was so bad that our lawn care service wouldn’t mow due to the rocks they left everywhere. Fast forward to now and we have water in our basement again. When they originally did the sewage pipes (almost a year ago) they didn’t cap them off from ground water. So even though sewage is not coming up, it now is just ground water. Yesterday I had 300 gallons of water pumped from my basement. Yes, 300. But I was “assured” that the pipes didn’t go anywhere. Then where the **** did 300 gallons of groundwater come from??!! The company cleaning and pumping the basement even said the pipes were not sealed off properly and we needed to have whoever did the work to come back and fix it. That’s two different companies now that have said her work is not complete. It comes down to laziness and not checking over their work. Then once I called to complain again the guy was talking over me and zero respect for a woman. I am a homeowner and you are providing a service which you did not finish properly. Come fix it and I will never use this company again.

Chuck answered the emergency line and came right out. He fixed the problem and told us some things we could do in the future.

In May 2015, my tenant called to tell me the tub hot/cold cartridge needed replaced, My property manager had already called Cedar Bluff plumbing, before I could call another plumber I had used before, to replace the cartridge. The plumber from CBP, not Chuck Mcmahan, the owner of Cedar Bluff plumbing, replaced a $20, or less, cartridge for $300, The plumber then installed a new water heater for another $800, total bill $1200. It was supposedly leaking. The tenants never mentioned a leak to me. (In APRIl 2015 I called another plumber to check out the water heater because the tenant complained it wasn't working. I was told it was a small tank for the amount of people using it, not giving it enough time to recover. There was nothing wrong with it) A whole new faucet would have cost way less. I priced water tanks that would have fit in the space for $300 to the most $400. I was also surprised that he had a replacement tank that size quickly available. The original water tank fit under the kitchen cabinet, and was covered. The new one is larger and protrudes beyond the cabinet area, is exposed. I tried telling Chuck, via the person answering the phone, it was the wrong size, but it fell on deaf ears. The only response in 2015 and 2017 I ever got was, "It was the right size, installed correctly, correct parts." I finally gave up since I live out of state. Recently the tenants moved and we were able to enter the house. At 2 1/2 years old, the tank has been leaking and now rusting, has to be turned off and on because of the leaking. The floor under the tank is rotted and has to be replaced.. Of course, I am very upset, frustrated and angry. Chuck, via Christina, who answered the phone this time, repeats it was the correct size, installed correctly with correct parts. He has NEVER looked at it, or spoke to me, so how can he make those statements? Every time he is scheduled to come, he cancels with an excuse. After several phone calls to the company,, and listening to the same excuses for canceling, I was told Chuck doesn't want to do business with me, now or in the future, because of my attitude. Why would I ever want to do business with someone that does shoddy work and refuses to accept responsibility for his plumber's mistake?? He was also going to charge me for repairs for his plumbers mistakes!! He got his $$$$, apparently that's all he cares about. Also, the property manager paid CBP,and I had to reimburse him, so he was immediately paid. I also never received any type of warranty for my $800 leaking water heater.. Most water heaters come with some type of replacement warranty. I would not recommend a company that overcharges for services and parts, or does not guarantee their work.

Our business had no use of toilet facilities until this problem was fixed. First plumber I called had machine - left a message. Second one said they were totally booked up for 2 1/2 weeks! Really??? Third plumber I got another message machine. Then I called Cedar Bluff Plumbing - phone was answered by a live person. Very helpful and sympathetic to our issue. As it so late in the day, the soonest they could come out was in the morning, unless we wanted to pay extra for the 24-hr service. The plumber called the next morning promptly at 9am as promised, and was here by 9:30. Had the sewer drain unclogged, cleaned up after himself, and was gone within 45 minutes. Very professional, courteous and helpful. Cedar Bluff Plumbing is my new hero! I would highly recommend them. Now I don't have to go across the street to the Subway to use their bathroom anymore :-).

I would like to give credit to another plumber, Luke's Plumbing. I called him and had to try several times to get him. He's very busy and could not get to me for several days. At this point, the faucet went from dripping to streaming. Luke suggested I call Cedar Bluff and said he knew them and they were good. I was able to schedule an appointment quickly and he did a good job of getting in there and repairing the problem.

They came out two days after I purchased the Big Deal. I noticed the floor in the kitchen was mushy. We had looked under the sink, but couldn't figure it out. By the time he got here and looked, he found that the braided hose where the water came in to the sink was pulling out around the connection. He was able to fix that before we had a major flooding experience. He only charges $10 more than the Big Deal for the replacement braided hose. That would've been the cost if I bought the hose anywhere else. I feel like they are honest about what they are doing. They are not going to take advantage of you and charge you for things that you don't need, or charge you for more time for them to do the work itself.

I have purchased two deals from them twice, and both times it was an excellent expensive. It made me feel like a girl dealing with plumbing, that they gave me the benefit of the doubt. In fact one of them confirmed that someone else was trying to scam me doing the same job they came out to do. Both times they came out, they were great. He came, and got right to work and got it fixed. He was done in 20 minutes. I felt that they were not trying to force me into buying anything extra that I didn't need, or do extra work so that they could charge you more money.

I probably say competitive with the price. They unclogged the drain. They performed the work as necessary. They did a little something extra for me. The workers were fine. They were professional and everything.

Before accepting the deal, I contacted "management" by calling 3 numbers shown on their web site. I finally was able to speak to someone, and asked if the price included faucets, and if there was a discount on the second faucet, since time and travel would not be required. She said she would have to contact the owner and would get back to me. She did, and said the deal price included parts (faucets), and there would be a discount on the labor to replace the second faucet. When the installer came (on time), he was almost incredulous that I was told the faucets were included in the price, and insinuated that Angie's List was the one who determined the pricing. He seemed very "put out" at what I related from their management but did perform the services extremely well. It seems there is a lack of communication within the business. Speaking of communicating, their website included at least 5 phone numbers (one each for various parts of the area), but I was told by the installer that all of them transfer to a single number. I'm wondering whether the person I spoke with initially was an employee or worked for a phone call center. These items reflect why I gave their "Professionalism" criteria a "D."

Chuck arrived, dug just outside the house, found the break and repaired it in good order. Said he'd done hundreds like this. Results from the ground settling outside the house ultimately breaking the cheap PVC pipe.

It might have been 8 – 6 weeks ago, just before Christmas. They did a fine job, I was pleased. Service was fine and they were punctual and that’s it. It took maybe an hour, it was just an outside faucet.

It was outstanding. These are my plumbing folks I would always call because they are on Angielist and I've watched their service and they've been thorough and they tell em what I need to do or do wrong or whatever else. They came out yesterday because I trust them so I am going through you all on their first visit, there was a bigger issue and they worked through it so that continuation piece too.
I called them because I trusted them I trusted them because of your list first and then what they did the first so the second time is like their the people I call.
