Carr's Rug Cleaning

I would give 10 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ if possible. We have used many of the local chain carpet cleaning companies in Knoxville and our carpets were always left with residual staining. Carr’s got all of the tough stains (2 dogs & 2 cats) out. Our carpet looks amazing! Looks as good as new. Carrs will definitely be the only carpet cleaning company that we will ever use again.

Excellent and professional service from the initial phone call to determine services and pricing to the gentlemen who performed the carpet cleaning. The work order contained all specifics of the job and the cost to be paid. The technicians were very punctual and took great care to move furniture and protect baseboards. They answered our questions about future care and provided tips on how to maintain the cleanliness they produced. Both were professional and personable. This is the second time that we have used Carr's and highly recommend them for carpet cleaning.

Excellent service all around from initial contact with Marsha through to delivery of clean rugs. The two techs arrived on time, took measurements of each rug and provided a written quote on the spot. Very courteous and efficient. They suggested one or two minor repairs that they worked into quote. Whilst the rugs were being cleaned we decided to order pads and Marsha provided prompt quote, offering 2 thickness options. Delivery men offered to lay clean rugs and new pads when they returned. Our rugs were very dirty and had been neglected for many years. Now they are so clean that they look absolutely new! I wish all our tradespeople were as great as those who work at Carr's.

Perfectly. I tried for 2 weeks to remove blood stains with vague brown spots remaining.. Carr's came to the house, moved the furniture, rolled up the carpet and rolled up the liner underneath. Within 3 weeks the rug was ready. They were always on time for both pick up and delivery. Several sofa cushions were stained and they cleaned those as well.

It went wonderful. They got all the stains out and the carpet looks like new.

Carr's rescued our upstairs carpet and best chair, saving us a great deal of trouble and expense. Their service providers were polite, careful and thorough.

Carr's is very good. The only drawback is that they are higher priced than some other options. If it fits your budget, though, the cost is worth it.

I'd lost an eternity ring and had given up on it. Carr's called me that they had found it when they un wound the (shag) rug to clean it. I was thrilled to get it back, not only because of the inherent value obvious in the ring, but also the sentimental value. It is so nice to know that people are honest; when I went to pick up the ring, they were all smiles. The two guys who picked up the run were genuinely glad to meet me. The feeling was mutual. You can't buy honesty. It is priceless these days!

Our washing machine overflowed, flooding a sizeable area of the floor including a 9?x12? oriental carpet, an 8?x11? synthetic carpet, and a 3?x12? oriental carpet runner and all the associated carpet pads. We called Carr?s immediately after the damage occurred and they were there to pick up the wet carpets and carpet pads within a few hours. They then dried these carpets and cleaned them and stored them for us until our floors were ready for the carpets to be put down again. They returned the carpets at the scheduled time and reinstalled and positioned the carpets and new carpet pads to the positions we selected. They then reinstalled some of the heavy furniture items that belonged on the carpeted area. All of the folks at Carr?s, from the person answering the phones and handling scheduling to the people doing the pick up and delivery, were a real pleasure to deal with ? their customer service is among the best we have ever encountered. We have already utilized their services again to have them clean another of our carpets ? one that was not affected by the flooding, and will certainly call on them again should the occasion arise.

This is the second time that we've used Carr's services.  We were so pleased the first time that there was no question that we would use them again when needed.  That time came recently and the good folks at Carr's came through with flying colors again.  They sent out two men to pick-up the rugs and take them to their plant for cleaning.  Two very nice young men delivered the bright, clean rugs today and graciously moved furniture to put them back in place.  They even combed out the fringe so the rugs would look their best when my wife got home. 

My wife and I are "raving fans" of this company.  If you're reading this review in a quest to decide whether to engage them to clean your rugs, I have one word for you--YES!!!

They did a very nice job.  They have cleaned oriental rugs for me in the past, and I have always been satisfied.  Cleaning is expensive, but oriental rugs require special handling.

They cleaned the rug as best they could, but the colors were destabilized by all the dog and cat urine that was in it. (The pet/house sitter we had hired had abandoned our pets and left them inside the house, unattended, with no means of going outside to use the yard - for a full seven days. They chose the rug in our formal dining room as their new restroom, since it was the least-used room in the house.)

When the rug was delivered back to the house, we put it in a storage area, since we already had another rug in its place. When I came across the rug a few days ago, I decided to take a look at it to determine whether I wanted to put it back in the dining room. I was dismayed to see how badly the colors had bled and faded.

At this point, it had been well over a year since Carr's had cleaned the rug. I emailed one of their employees, Marsha Browning, to see whether or not there was anything that could be done to try restoring the rug - I didn't hold out much hope for it.

Instead of hearing back from Marsha, I received a note from Mr.Bob Carr, who promised to call me about the matter the following day.  The next day, Mr. Carr called as promised; he had looked into the matter, and knew the back-story of what had happened with our rug. We talked for a few minutes, and he explained the cleaning process and the solvents that were used. He explained how the urine had destabilized the colors, and how additional cleaning would continue fading all the colors to lighter and lighter hues.  Given that the rug was red to begin with, I didn't think a fade to a pinker shade would work for us, so I declined, and he countered ... by stating that the full price would be refunded.

I was astonished. I had not expected his willingness to do anything, much less to issue a full refund for work that had been done well over a year ago.  Mr. Carr was polite, honest, and friendly - not something you get very often these days!

Keeping that in mind, if you have a badly soiled rug to be cleaned, ask questions about the process and potential outcomes for the rug.  The high grade I've given Carr's is based entirely on Mr. Bob Carr's pleasant and informative discussion with me, his demeanor, and his professionalism, and does not reflect the outcome of the rug itself. 

As for the rug - they did the best they could. With two cats and two dogs using it for a toilet for seven days, it would have been unreasonable to expect it to have come out entirely unscathed (although I had hoped it might).

I would recommend Carr's Carpet Cleaning to anyone who needed such work done.

Very gracious and informative on process to be used when we rec'd estimate on cost. Great job too.

The serviceman was on time, very knowledgeable, and very friendly and polite; he worked diligently and took the time afterwards to provide professional guidance for the future (we had rugs cleaned before we moved into a new home, and our moving day was a day for which heavy rain was predicted, so he provided advice on dealing with any mud that might get tracked in by the movers).

Darrell listened to what I wanted and did a great job.
