Had to do it twice, but drain flows good now. Great job. Only issue was the workers tracked debris from clogged drain along floor to door and then did a poor job of cleanup. Shoe covers are highly recommended.

A crew showed up as scheduled and ran the gas line through the wall into the laundry. I was pressed for time and had to leave town as soon as they were finished, so I did not take the time to look closely at the installation. The week after this, I returned to the house and took a better look at the job - and saw that the work was unacceptable. The gas line should have been parallel to the inside wall, but it was angled back sharply toward the wall, in fact the end of the pipe was jammed against the wall, nothing could possibly be connected to it. I called the company and was told that a crew would be out to fix it the next day. I waited at the house all day and NO ONE showed up. I called the company again that evening on their 24 hour line and was ignored. I called again the next morning during normal business hours and was not given any explanation as to why I had just wasted a day waiting for someone to come out. They promised me that they would be there 'sometime' that day. A crew finally showed up the next day, and promptly broke the fitting that the previous crew installed. More hours spent waiting for a part to be delivered. After another complete day of waiting, I finally had a gas outlet that I can use - I think, anyway. My gas dryer is being installed tomorrow, I'll see if the installation meets local code. If not, I will be contacting them again through an attorney.

The living room ceiling started turning brown with water damage; the toilet was leaking. A friend recommended Brogdon but we checked here first. It was late in the day - 4:30 - but the dispatcher said guys would be over as soon as they were finished with another job. They were there within an hour, reset the toilet, and wouldn't charge me for another small plumbing job they took care of while they were in the bathroom. They left it clean and neat. So: available, prompt, clean, professional. I'll call them next time.

Brogdon Plumbing's service representatives are always friendly and knowledgeable.  I began to worry about mounting costs, however, when my water heater required repeated service calls.  Mike Brogdon, aware of my concerns, arranged with the water heater company to have a new water heater installed at no extra cost.  This gesture went above and beyond anything I had expected from Brogdon Plumbing insofar as standing behind the product they had recommended and sold to me. I appreciated Mike Brogdon's assistance in handling this, his networking capabilities, and his capable service crew.

I have used them several times. The last time I used them was 3 to 4 years ago, I do not remember the exact date. They installed a new toilet, unclogged the shower drain, and installed a new drain in the kitchen sink. They were very professional. I plan to use them anytime I need a plumber.

I had no idea who to call when my water line broke.  Myron,  owner of  M and D services referred me to this company.  I have known Mryon for years, so I trusted the referral.  Mike came out the same day.  He gave me a price for a repair and also a replacement.  I chose a replacement since I am picky about my home and always want everything done right.
A permit was required by the city of Knoxvile, which this company obtained it.  I have a corner lot so my side yard was dug up.  New pipe was installed.  I called and left a message since I wanted to know when they were going to finish.  I was concerned about the safety of the children since it was a long trench leading from my home to the water meter.  Mike returned by call in a timely manner.  I really liked that since he is the owner and he could have had an employee call me back.  I have dealt with companies thru the years that you never hear from the owner.  He told me  they could not cover it back up with dirt since the city of Knoxville had not yet done their inspection.  That was all I needed to hear.  I just wanted to know what was going on since I have never done this before.  It was not long after that that the city did the inspection and Brogdon completed the job.
Mike is also very personable.  I have a Golden Retriever and he also ownes one.    He also does good work.  The water line is doing fine.

I had a clogged sink and a weird noise coming from under the shower. I called them in the evening after work. They came out the next day. They even offered to show me how to fix the issue. I was really happy with them. I didn't have a huge job done, but the quality seemed good. I will use them again in the future.

We had a water heater that was not large enough to heat the water for our family of five.   They replaced the heater with a larger capacity.  The next day we had the same issue where only one person at a time could take a shower.   I had another plumber come look at the work and they said that the heater is not large to support more than 15 minutes of hot water.   Brogdon would not discount or offer to replace the unit.   Very Very Disappointing.

The job went well. They come when they say they will and they are efficient. They have fixed some pretty difficult plumbing issues and not just drips. I thought their price was right within the range.

Brogden Plumbing scheduled someone to come out in a timely fashion.  They were on time and polite.  They ended up cutting a hole in the ceiling to access the leak and cleaned up after themselves..  I would be happy to rehire them.

Brogdon's came the day we called and unclogged the pipe from the washer.  They also restructured the way the pipes from the washer were configured so the problem would be less likely to occur again.  Have not had a problem since.

My natural gas lines were connected in such a way that it would be incredibly difficult to take them apart without disassembling the entire line. Brogdon's quote was both the least expensive and most professional of the three that I received. Whereas the other plumbers wanted to run an additional line the entire length of the house, Brogdon was willing to cut a coupler on the main line near the stove and install a T (which I wish the builder had done in the first place). I was also concerned about the placement of the gas line behind the range. My new range (which had not yet arrived) had a very narrow area in which the gas line could be placed (extending no more than 2" beyond the wall). The other plumbers suggested that I run the line up behind the corner cabinet to the side of the range in a void rather than right behind the range given the very narrow requirements. I showed the Brogdon representative the manufacturer's installation requirements and diagram. He said that it would be no problem to place the line within the narrow requirements behind the range as described by the manufacturer. Brogdon was able to schedule an install the next business day. The two installers that did the job seemed professional and went about their jobs efficiently. I showed the lead installer the manufacturer's installation requirements and diagram and pointed out the very narrow space required for the gas line installation. I also pointed out the alternate location that the other plumbers had suggested. He briefly looked at the manufacturer's installation sheet, measured the space, and said that it would be no problem to bring the line up behind the range in the narrow area required. I agreed and they did the work over the next two hours. When they finished I paid and they were on their way. I inspected the work in the crawl space and it looked very well done. The gas line in the kitchen behind the range also looked very professional, but I was in for a bad surprise when I tried to push my existing range back in. It would not fit because the gas line was in the way. The clearance on the old range was greater than the new one, so I knew immediately that there was a problem. I pulled the range back out and did some measuring. I really should have checked the work before they left, but the lead installer had seen the diagram and was aware of the narrow requirements. I honestly just couldn't fathom that he had completely ignored them. But he had. The gas line, including the shut-off valve, was not to extend any more than 2" beyond the wall according to the range's installation instructions. The shut-off valve extended 3.75" inches beyond the wall the way that he had installed it. I was livid. If it was not possible to meet the narrow requirements, why did the installers not let me know? Why did they not opt for the alternate location in the void beside the range if this was the case? Were they just gambling that the new range would actually have more space than the installation diagram indicated? Or did they just ignore the instructions and my request because it was easier? The next day I dropped by Brogdon's office (it was on my way home anyhow) and spoke with the staff in the office (including Mike, the owner). I explained the situation and they were very sympathetic. We decided to wait until the new range was delivered, see if it worked, and then take action if it did not. They were surprised by the oversight and agreed to make it right. When the range arrived the next day, sure enough, it did not fit. I called Mike and he scheduled a crew to come out first thing the next morning. The crew that came out the next morning was different than the original installers. I explained the situation and the new lead installer decided that using the void to the side of the range would work better than trying to squeeze it into the small space. They moved the pipe, filled the old hold with foam, and hooked up the range. It works and it fits nicely now. There was no additional charge for this correction. While I am extremely frustrated with the initial installers' oversight, I am very pleased with the speed and professionalism of Brogdon in dealing with their original error. They have the equipment and professionals to do good gas work and I'm pleased with the quality. Nonetheless, those initial installers should have never made such a glaring error especially since I made the issue clear from the start. Thankfully the error was nothing dangerous, but you really want a detail-oriented professional working on your natural gas lines. If they missed something that obvious, what else might they have missed? Ultimately I am pleased with the work, but the process was more involved than it should have been. Brogdon will make it right if you have a problem and that's good. I just wish I didn't have to deal with the installers' error in the first place.

Several years ago, I discovered another alarming water leak late on a weekend afternoon. I called Brogdon then and got their voice mail. They never called me back, so I wound up hiring someone else. I rated them an F here on Angie's List for failure to respond after advertising themselves as a 24/7 company. This time, I decided to give them another try because the overwhelming percentage of reports about them on Angie's List and elsewhere have been positive, and some close friends were totally satisfied with their work to repair a catastrophic leak in their house. This time, my experience with Brogdon was totally satisfactory as well, so perhaps the earlier failure was just a rare exception. To be fair, I wanted to report both experiences and let Angie's list subscribers judge for themselves. Late on a Saturday afternoon, I noticed water seeping through the shingles on the back of my house. Because of the location, I suspected my washer supply line was the culprit. I couldn't see anything wrong inside, though I could hear water dripping inside the wall. I shut off the washer supply valves anyway, and within a half hour the dripping outside stopped. Satisfied that I had found the source of the problem, but not knowing how to fix it, I called Brogdon and got voicemail. Given my earlier experience with Brogdon, I was tempted to hang up and try someone else. But I decided to leave a message, and this time they did call back promptly and offered to come out that night if I felt the situation warranted it. We agreed to wait until the following day, and later that evening they called back to confirm a specific appointment time. They showed up as agreed the following morning and quickly confirmed that the problem was, indeed, a shutoff valve on the washer that was fixable with a simple adjustment. It was hard for me to believe that such a minuscule drip could build up so much over time -- but I learned a valuable lesson. It was a quick and easy repair for the plumber and he charged me $107 for the call, which was less than the nights/weekends rate of $160/hr that I was quoted on the phone. While expensive for what little was needed to fix the problem -- it was a lot less than I feared when I first saw water seeping out of the wall!
