The work went horribly from the beginning.  Workers parked heavy equipment on main water meter valve boxes (located nowhere near where the work activities were taking place) creating costly water leaks.  It should be noted that these leaks were not discovered for several weeks since the workers failed to inform anyone of their mistake.  Workers continually used extremely foul language and exhibited hostile actions toward one another in the presence of my child until my family members were able to intervene.  Shelby Alvarez reduced the number of and substituted substandard plants once (I now know) his funds began to run short.  His so called premium top soil was no such thing.  I watched the first load as it was dumped and immediately expressed my concern that "the soil was not premium top soil" as I'd been promised.  I foolishly allowed Mr. Alvarez to talk me out of my concerns as he explained that the "soil was lightly sandy loam" and this was "exactly what I want".  My fears were confirmed a couple months later when only weeds grew.  I found large stones in the soil along with large chunks of scrap metal.  I spent additional thousands of dollars trying to recover the soil and over seed in the fall with fescue.  Two years later, it's confirmed that the soil was teeming with bermuda grass.  My lawn is ruined with no hope of recovery - at least not without considerable expense.  Quotes from reputable landscapers imply that the only way to rid oneself from bermuda grass is to simply seel your house and move.  Additionally, over half the plants installed by Blue Herron Gruoup have died.  Mr. Alvarez will not return a single phone call and obviously has no intention of replacing plants under warranty.  He failed to provide all applicable sales receipts as promised.  Moreover, after challenging him he admitted that the soil was substandard.  He also would not provide a copy of his degree when asked.
