I was so amazed by what happened after I talked to David. He sent his repairman to my house and he fixed it in 15 minutes. This was the best response to any job at my house that I can remember and everyone was just super nice.The repairman, Patrick, cleaned up the job site and you never knew anyone was there. Calling this company was the best thing I ever did.

Great service. Came the day I called to evaluate what was wrong and his crew came the next business day to fix it. Since his repair we have had a lot of heavy rains but no leaks (knock on wood).

Mr. Barnett is a professional roofer, not a handyman. He was able to correctly diagnose and fix a serious roof leak that had baffled two other so called roofers, who charged large sums and accomplished nothing. We intend to use Mr. Barnett's company for all of our roofing needs and recommend him to our friends and associates without any hesitation whatsoever.

David was absolutely amazing. I called 8 other roofing contractors around Knoxville, and only 2 others actually made it to the property. He was incredibly knowledgeable about everything that needed to be completed, and provided the credentials that showed the knowledge behind his recommedations. The work was completed in a little over a day, and he was out at the house very quickly after we approved his scope and the cost of the work. If you are on the ropes in any way, just speak to David about what you are looking to have finished around your house. He will assuage any fears that you may have about the work not being completed the way it needs to be. Our roof turned out amazing and is infinitely better looking than what was on the house. The work, cost, and overall professional went above and beyond anything that I was expecting.

David's crew did a great job. Worked in the rain and completed everything in just over a day. The job was great.

Very well in general. David, the owner, responded quickly to my call and came out and check out my problem. However, due to rainy weather and other jobs he already had scheduled, it took a little longer than I would have liked to get the crew here to make the repair. I believe that they did a good job.

David Barnett came out promptly and checked the roof. Found a clogged gutter. He suggested I fix that problem, and called me back next day to make sure leak had gone away. Will go back to him for any roof work!

When I discovered that it was time for my roof to be replaced I came to Angie's List and obtained information for several contractors who could perform the job. The bids from 4 contractors ranged from $16,897 to $7800. The high bid was from an obvious scam artist and was dismissed. Of all the contractors who presented their quote, David Barnett seemed to be the most professional as he was GAF Elite certified, compared to the others who were GAF certified. I expected him to provide a higher quote for the job and was happily surprised that his bid was the lowest. I awarded him the contract and his crew showed up promptly as promised on the day for the job. They worked hard all day and did an excellent job. I watched them several times during the day and it was obvious they knew what they were doing. There were six men and a supervisor and the work ran smoothly and was completed with excellence. I would highly recommend Barnett Roofing and I would use him again if I needed a roof replaced in the future.

Everything went very well. Received a prompt estimate, the installation was done in one day and the clean up was great.

Dave was very quick to return my initial call and promptly came by for an extensive inspection. He provided a thorough estimate that was fully documented and professionally presented via e-mail. A date for repair was set and though weather put his crew behind, he was very good about letting us know very quickly that he needed to reschedule for first thing the next day, a Saturday. He and his crew arrived promptly and began work immediately. They were professional and thorough. Completely cleaned up and asked multiple times if I was satisfied and I was. Called back multiple times to confirm the patching held through the rains. Communication and quality work is the name of the game and Barnett hit a homerun with me! For what it is worth, two other roofers came by and gave oral estimates, but failed to return calls afterwards. Both of these folks came with glowing recommendations, too.

From the moment we first met with David Barnett we felt this was someone who was knowledgeable and that we could trust. For the entire process, from the selection of roofing materials through the completion of our total roof replacement, David and his team did an exceptional job. They were timely, thorough and cleaned up after themselves. We had several estimates from various companies, and taking in the quality of materials used, we felt David's prices were competitive with all. We would highly recommend Barnett Roofing to all who need any roof work.

David Barnett, owner, was very accommodating in that we needed to made a Saturday appointment and needed it prior to possible Hurricane Maria rains. David was asked to inspect the overall appearance of the roof and a possible leak at exhaust pipe area. After inspection, it was determined that 12 year-old roof was shot and needed to be replaced and David could not find an obvious area leaking at the exhaust pipe. He caulked the area and a couple of other areas that could become possible problems. David proceeded to give us an estimate for roof replacement (which has to conform to our condo's guidelines). As for the repairs he made, there was no charge. David stated that there is no charge for minor repairs for all Angie's List members. Seriously, who does that anymore. He also offers a $500 off coupon for Angie's List members as well. David has over 30 years roofing experience and is very professional, knowledgeable, and polite. He thoroughly explained everything done and all that would be done at time of replacement. We are planning the roof replacement in the next few months and this will update our review. We recommend David Barnett and Barnett Roofing to anyone needing roofing repairs or replacement.

My home inspector just found the house had a shingle fell off and another displacement he suggested us ask professional roof company to check if the whole roof was installed appropriately. I found David in Angielist and called him and he came over and found the roof was fine but just two small areas need reapair. He didn’t charge for the inspection. He is very professional!

It was great from start to finish. David came out and looked at our roof and that night he emailed me a very detailed estimate. He gave me 2 options of brands of shingles to choose from. He had left me some brochures on roofing colors and even sent me addresses of houses with roofs done in the color, GAF Cedar Falls, that I wanted. If I wanted he was prepared to bring out some shingles so I could see them in the different lights of day, afternoon, and evening. He wanted to make sure we would be happy with the finished product. Workers came out at about 6:15 am on our agreed upon date, tarped the perimeter of our house, and went right to work. A dumpster arrived a bit later. They replaced a piece of bad roofing wood, put ice and water rubber shield where necessary, and gave us new high quality boots for our vents. We get a warranty from GAF and also from Barnett Roofing. I LOVE the new roof color and the work and the cleanup were excellent!!! You can tell the difference when someone takes pride in their work!

Mr. Barnett was very professional and patient. He told us upfront what to expect, explained the options and benefits of each, and always showed up as promised. The roof looks great and should be worry-free. The old roof was ripped off and replaced in a day, due to have a very large crew working on it. The final price was as initially estimated, which was a shock given prior experience with contractors. Finished product looks great and they took pains to match the replaced roof with other, lower roof shingles. Only downside to the whole experience is finding many dozens of nails littering my lawn for weeks afterwards, and maybe the next few yeara, but they did have a guy sweeping with a magnet for an hour which is more than I would expect from most contractors. Would gladly recommend Dave and his crew.

It went very well. Much better than we expected. We are not used to this level of work based on our experience with other roofers we have hired over the 30+ years at this residence.

Being in my 60's I have dealt with many services. Mr. Barnet was the kindness most professional person I had the joy to meet. I was buying a house and needed a roof prior to closing. He had a crew out therein two days from daybreak to evening. I would hope this company for anything! Great job.

He was prompt and assessed what needed to be done immediately. He showed my husband what the problem was; improperly installed roof tiles, cheap flashing, and improperly installed gutters, and told us what he would do and what to tell the gutter installers. Excellent advice and spot on assessment. It took a while for the weather to be dry enough to do the repair, but once it was done, everything is working perfectly. He didn't even bill us till he knew the job had been completed well. Highly recommend!

Can't say enough good things about Barnett Roofing. David is very professional and knows his stuff. Getting someone to give a fair estimate and not inflate the price is difficult when you don't know what you need. David looked at the whole roof, measured, and showed me pictures of what he found. I ended up getting the roof on my garage done in addition to my house for a little more than another company was charging to do just my house! As far as the the work itself, it started promptly at 7 am with about 8 guys going to work. They worked like ninjas and were done by 3 pm (including clean-up). You can tell they do this all the time and they work in sync with each other. Once things got moving, the guys found 3 places that were damaged under the old shingles which were promptly fixed (included in the quoted price). With the great warranty I should never need another roof, but if I do I will be calling David and his guys.

David was very responsive and did excellent work. Will use again when I need another repair or a new roof.
