Excellent work, done in collaboration with Hardin Valley Tree Service. Arrived on time, and in one day four workers cut down four big trees, three of which required climbing the tree. Two were close to the house. Cut the wood into 18-inch lengths, and stacked the wood from two trees for our use as firewood. Chipped and hauled off the other two. Came back a second day to finish hauling off the wood. Blew sawdust and chips off the yard and left things neat and in good shape.

We had one huge dead tulip poplar in our backyard. I called several tree services and the price to remove it was enormous. After asking around, the name Barbosa came up and we gave him a call. Leon came out the next day and gave us a quote for 3 troublesome trees in the back (didn't include stump grinding). One tree was within 3 feet of our home (that one really made us nervous). Leon's quote for the 3 was roughly the same as the other services gave for one tree to be removed. Leon came out when he said that he would and everything went smoothly. I watched the crew carefully climb and remove pieces all day. There was no damage to our property at all. It was a very professional job and we will have his company come out this fall to do some more work.
On a side note, my father-in-law hired him to do a small job on his property as well and was as satisified as we were.

For small clean up, they do a very good job. After a series of small tornados, a wood salvager took the trunks of two big tulip poplars that were down in our yard. They cleaned up all of the brush and two other areas of brush where small trees had fallen at half the price of other tree companies.
I would not, however, use them for large or difficult jobs. After several hollow limbs fell on a large oak tree, the owner of Barbosa tree service (Leon) told me the tree was hollow and suggested that it needed to come down. I told him that he could take it down after they had finished with the extensive storm damage our city had but two days later, I came home and found that they had taken the tree down, that it was not hollow at the base and could have been saved and that they dropped the tree on our septic field, narrowly missing the tank. I immediately called Barbosa and told them NOT to do any further work until I was there to supervise but came home the next day to find that they had dragged two huge logs across the septic field onto my neighbor's property and severly damaged one of his trees by backing a bobcat into it. My neighbor is suing. I can no longer cross my neighbors property to remove wood and it is a huge mess.
I like the Barbosa's and would use them again for small things but would NEVER use them for something big again. This job was WAY beyond their capability and I'm still dealing with the fallout from it.

Very well. I felt it was a good value considering the size of these trees. I was expecting to pay three times as much.

They showed up on time and the price was reasonable. The work was very good.
