APPLIANCE SOURCE

Was given a window of 10am to 2pm for service call. At 2:00 pm I called and was told he was running late. At 4:30 I called and got voice mail. He finally arrived at 5:00pm with a bad attitude. Installed the new power cord for the recall then determined that I had a small leak and that he didn't have the part. Also said that instead of fixing it I could just pull it out each month and clean up the leak and it would work. I asked to have the office call me with the price for the repair and he just said that it would be very expensive and and it should work for a month or two before the error code would show up again. One hour after he left the error code came back on. He charged me a trip charge and labor. Due to the recall I should not have been charged for the trip. Terrible attitude would never use again!

It went extremely well. He came on time, and was, as always, very polite. Ron knows what he's doing and it is fun to see someone enjoy his work so much. He diagnosed the problem expertly, left to buy the part needed, and did not charge for the time spent getting it.

Ron not only came out within 24 hours when my Bosch dishwasher needed repair, he arrived within the window his company gave me, on a Saturday, did excellent diagnostic work, knew his stuff, completed the job, and I could pay attention again to other concerns of getting my house on the market, packing and moving. What a relief. I also liked dealing with the owner of a company -- you know they care most about customer service.

Installation done quickly and perfectly. The old appliance to be taken away, there was some delay but it was resolved. The office staff was especially helpful with coordinating the installation with the delivery date, even when they put it on back order.

Ron (owner) is a friendly, sweet, knowledgeable guy who REALLY knows his stuff on appliances. We've used him twice now at different houses (once on a fridge) and today on our Bosch dishwasher (and it's hard to find tech's who know how to work on Bosch). He could have charged us more than he did but he's very fair on pricing and went above and beyond to work us into his schedule and get the dishwasher up and running. It's so nice to have a local business that you can trust to show up, be professional, get the job done and charge you a fair price!

Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience, and we wouldn't recommend the company's services.  First, the company sent a technician out numerous times because the refrigerator would only run for a matter of hours before breaking down again, and we were charged for each visit.  In the end, we paid nearly 1000 dollars only to end up buying a completely new refrigerator.

Appliance Source was recommended from another Angie's List appliance repair company, because they did not service the area where are rental property was located. Appliance Source was easy to work with even long distance. They showed up on time at the rental property and worked quickly to diagnosis the issue. No materials where needed for the fix, just labor. They completed the job quickly and remained in contact with us through the entire process. Like everyone in business, would have loved a lower price for services, but we were satisfied with the job and believe we got a far cost for maintenance performed. We will more than likely continue to use Appliance Source for possible future needs.

showed up, on time, pleasant, fixed problem but i thought service was way over priced.

It was the day before Thanksgiving and we had company and were expecting more. I came home from work and my sister told me that she tried to get ice and water came out of the ice shoot. I figured that she had hit the water spout and not the ice spout. I tried the ice spout and water came shooting out. I opened the freezer and water was dripping, from the melting ice, all over the refrigerator. It was about 3:00pm, I called Appliance Source and they said they would come as soon as they could. They had several calls to make but they would definitely come today. Would I mind if it was late? I told them I didn't care how late they came but I needed help. They arrived by 7:00pm, which was much earlier than I thought they would be able to get to us. They were able to repair something so that the refrigerator and freezer began working. It would have been a disaster if our company arrived and we had no refrigerator for Thanksgiving. He also cleaned the coils under our refrigerator to make sure that, that would not cause us a problem. He showed me how to clean them so I would be able to do it myself. I felt he was very professional and did an excellent job. (Looking at the first question below, I didn't get an estimate because I was in such a jam. I needed the refrigerator fixed, as long as it was fixable and it was.)

Felt that serviceman should have known beforehand that a new part was needed and did the job correctly the first time, instead of charging for labor twice.
