!  We spent 6 thousand dollars and our floors looked better before we started!  Our floors are now several different shades, much lighter around doors, waves in floor from sanding incorrectly and different levels around each door where they did not use the correct sander.  We also have a large dip in a couple of areas.  I have refinished floors myself once in my life and they came out a million times better!!  We still have a closet that has not been finished!  We have 4 kids and our railing is extremely shaky!!  They have come back 3 times at least to try and fix and each time have had to leave our house and move all of our furniture again!  We originally set it up for them to come before we moved into our house so that we could avoid this but they never showed up when they were suppose to and then left after starting job to work on another.  The first round they forget to put the polyurethane coat on so it was very rough and unfinished.  The sanding job was never done right.  They came back to fix and put the coat of poly on and the colors were all different and uneven.  They came back to fix that problem with us leaving the house once again and we came back to very glossy spots on our floor and were told they they used the wrong finish.  It just goes on and on and to this day we still have a closet that is completely unfinished, an unsafe railing, ruined marble around fireplace, sloppy stain job with stain all over all of our white trim throughout entire area, spots on railing that are natural color up against dark stain due to sloppy staining.  The owner would never come out and look at job and just said that they would come back and re-do.  We do not want them in our house again.  Ray, the owner refused to give us any money back.  They would also ask for the check before hardly getting in the door and we made the mistake of giving them the last check before it was complete!  Our floors look so bad that we have had more then one contractor ask us if we were going to refinish our floors and were shocked when we told them that we actually had already!!!  The floors are already peeling even though the installation was just 6 months ago. Unfortunately, we can not afford to go out and pay someone else to re-do!!!  VERY VERY frustrating!!!!
Response from Appalachian Hardwood Flooring
"After 3 times going back to solve small issues they said everything was ok and we never got another call or any kind of notice of further problems."
