It started out pretty good. Insurance claims guy was there within first day or 2, after storm uprooted large oak tree that fell on front of our house. Advanced Restorations came in the same time frame and submitted estimate. They were cutting tree away from house within 2 days of my first contact. They finished tree cleanup a few days afterwards. It was then agreed that I had to pay insurance deductible and shingle depreciation difference and for any upgrades that insurance did not cover. Roof job went pretty well, although I never saw any signs of drip edge being installed as referenced in estimate and chimney flashing was not replaced. I questioned them about this and was told they would check and get back to me.(still waiting) Gutter people did my gutters in the rain and left quite a mess with debris from gutters that were removed. Also a piece of soffit was left hanging down and I was told they would take care of that. (still waiting) Dumpster from roof job left small hole, about 6and quot; square in asphalt driveway, probably from dumpster wheel. Porch rail guy did a really good job. Looks great. Kudos to Rick and helper.

I gave the project person a chance to adjust or refund for discrepancies, (Chimney flashing charges and Drip edge charges) but no quarter was given. I was told they would address the issues I was concerned with and get back with me. (still waiting)

Pipe burst in basement apartment causing 2 inches of standing water. Laminate floors and baseboards ruined; carpet soaked but salvageable since it was pretty new; carpet padding destroyed. They were here within 30 minutes of being called by our insurance adjuster and soaked up all the water. Another crew came by the same day and installed giant fans and mega dehumidifiers. They sent out a team to rip out laminate and carpet padding and remove baseboards. After everything was dry they sent out a team to install new flooring (went with new vinyl tile that looks like wood), replaced the carpet padding and relaid the carpet and installed new carpet and bad in areas where the old carpet was ruined. I never once had to call them. They came when they said they would come and I have never experienced such a nice and professional group of men (they happened to all be men.) I couldn't be more pleased.

  • Early July our plumber diagnosed a blown valve in our dishwasher as causing extensive water damage including buckling of the kitchen hardwood floor and flooding the basement below it. In the following two weeks Advanced Restorations coordinated the work of approximately a dozen workers to do the work above. Project manager Bobby and others were very good at keeping us abreast about how things were progressing and what and when the next step would be. They returned all phone calls in a timely manner and though two weeks without a kitchen seemed forever we were pleased with the final result. In the end the damaged areas were restored to a least the condition they were in before the disaster if not better.

The insurance company referred me to them for water damage in our basement. It was a nightmare! They didn't do what they were supposed to. When we had more water come in I called to get extraction done I got a run around from our project manager. I called the main office and was told they would contact him. Shortly thereafter I got a return call from the project manager telling me they weren't able to do the work we needed done and to find someone else! I have made it clear that for the little while they were here I would not pay anything towards them! They are horrible and I can't believe my insurance company gave me their number!

They were horrible, and I was surprised the insurance company didn't do better to weed this company out. They ran over their own deadline by a few months and still didn't do a thorough job. The president of the company has been hard to deal with and had really left us hanging about getting the work completed. The only reason I didn't give them an outright F is because the workers were alright when we could get them out here. The insurance company took care of the bill.

The floor replacement was a real headache and an inconvenience to the family, which was not the companies fault. The service crew were very polite and sympathetic towards our problem. Even though they were cleaning up a mess, they didn t make one in the process. The end result was great.
