Service appointment was scheduled very quickly. Technician arrived on time. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He made the repair quickly. The technician also set up monitoring which I thought was at a fair price of $12.99 per month. My system also needed a new battery which I would have expected him to have with him. He said I could easily replace myself which I did. Unfortunately, the terminals were corroded and I broke the connector. So in addition to a trip to buy the battery I had to make an extra trip to Lowe's for a replacement connector (and they don't sell just one).

3 minor problems in the pre-wiring they could not/did not correct, in that the wires were "trapped" by the drywall installers. They walked away from one 2-foot long loop of wire hanging down over a window that the drywall installers thought was needed. Homeowner (myself) ended up cutting the 4-conductor wires, soldered the connections and stuffed it behind the drywall. Two motion sensors were lower than planned, but did not affect function.

Abstract Security did a good job at monitoring our home security system. We have never had the need for them to come out on a call but I know they will be available if we need them. We feel very secure knowing that we have their service.
