He came out and measured the space in my garage and then put together a few options for me to review. He provided me with electronic drawings of what the cabinetry would look like when completed. I selected the one I wanted and got a quote. He ordered the parts and then installed it. One of the pieces was back-ordered, so he installed 80% of the units in one day, then came back to finish the remaining 20% the next week after the parts arrived.
