A1 Sofya Construction is a pleasant contractor to work with. The owner MJ was very communicative and willing to do whatever it takes to make the customers happy. The crews that MJ hired were respectful, but I would suggest security. I would definitely recommend A1 Sofya Construction for any project that someone may have. The final work is very satisfying.

Ruined new hard-wood floors, did not finish painting job, did not clean up after themselves on drywall job. Do not bother doing business with this company. We hired them to do some drywall repair - which was done well by Sarah, but everything after this was negative. The owner, MJ, said they would clean up after themselves which they did not. The painting was required which is where everything went downhill. Only one coat of paint was used after the drywall repair and it was patchy - my husband and I had to do another coat after ourselves. We also contracted their team to do the painting in our house. While the painting was actually done quite well and we understood the delays, we asked multiple times to ensure that our newly refinished hardwood floors were covered. Of course, the team did not cover the floors and there was paint all over the hardwood. MJ insisted that he would be able to remove it and had cleaners come in who used wood furniture cleaner - stripping the floors. After a week of MJ insisting he could fix the issue, we had the person who did our floors originally come back. He said that A1 Sofya had ruined the flooring and we had to repay to have our hardwood floors re-finished again. MJ (owner of A1 Sofya) told us that he would put this through his insurance, and instead has ghosted us leaving us out thousands of dollars for the hardwood re-finish.

They are always late, they do not clean up after their mess, they went into my refrigerator with permission.

Not reliable, terrible drywall hanging. The lady is a great drywall taper and Mudder. She did great work, as expected. The man would not keep his word about when to show up, and the work did a very bad job of painting and failed to cover the hardwood floors. Therefore, I can not get the paint off. I have to hire someone to refinish the floors and redo some of the sanding and painting. One room was satisfactory, but the other three were not. did not sand the doors prior to painting (they look bad). I have glass doorknobs and one was broken off completely. These are originally 120 years old. I cannot seem to find any suitable replacements. It took 3 days and 4 weeks to do a 3-day job. I wish I could post pics. But I have them if needed. I am very sad that this has happened to us. As a retired couple, our money does not grow on trees. We cannot afford to blow it on a job not done satisfactorily. A professional would have done a better job. And be on the job on time, not 4-5 late. 

I expected honesty and professionalism.
