We had a mold issue which we corrected using B-Dry's services. The salesmen recommended this "Fly By Night Operation" for doing the necessary demo for their means and also said they can do the rebuild. That's when my nightmare began when TJ Strong owner of "A Plus Integrity Construction' came out. I had discussed the build out and what in all I wanted it to be like. We discussed the basement creating a master bed/bath, adding a half bath, a laundry area, a recreation room, then the garage conversion, and the front porch expansion with an A-Frame over hang. This all started the end of May 2013 prepping for the B-Dry. B-Dry came the first week of June and completed by end of that week. Then came the estimate for the job. 32,745.75. minus charge for the porch 9,600. That would leave 23,146.75 towards basement and garage. To date we paid him 29,200 and we haven't even gotten 1 room/area completed yet. I gave him deadlines for bedroom and laundry room due to delivery of washer and dryer. Which original date was Aug.1, 2013. As the date approached I hit the panic button and called to see if I could hold it up a week and in turn had to do it again for another week at which point I decided it has to come. Maybe that will move them to get it finished and fix the areas I mentioned. Talked to his hired help they would come out daily and do next to nothing. He'd come on rare occasions when he didn't have another job or needed money. Tuesday Aug. 13, 2013 he asked for more money 4500. My husband wrote the check in good faith figuring he would be there all day to complete some of the areas. Told him we were going to pick up the bathrooms tile be right back. We weren't even half way to the tile store and we called him about something and he said he was leaving just as my son was pulling in driveway he was pulling out. Keep in mind he had just got there when we talked to him and gave him the check. There have been some little additional jobs that needed to be done because they were covered at the time of the estimate from my calculations that cost us an additional 6,053.25 including his plumber Preston whom said he wanted an additional 1150 to do the bathroom's plumbing. After receiving the 4500. check he's saying we still owe him 6,000 and that don't include the garage or the front porch. When his estimate did. I was so enraged Thursday Aug. 15, when I asked his hired help where he was and they told me he was coming and when I returned with the last pallet of the bathroom tile and he wasn't there and I asked where he was and they told me he decided to go to another job. I went off on them poor kids and told them he is so close to getting fired. and I mulled it over all night as my new stack washer and dryer sat near the point of where they were to be because delivery service couldn't get them stacked and under the closets drop point from the ceiling. That I decided to pin the garage door Fri. morning so they couldn't open it to get in and lock the basement door. At that point I was thru with them I've had enough. I'll cut my losses but the tools they left behind were paid for overly and are now mine. They can go to a flea market and get new ones.
