ServiceMaster Clean 1100 Ladd Landing Blvd. #5 Kingston, TN. 37763 865-482-0795 Also known as: Creative Restoration & Flooring Water and Smoke Damage Report Due to a gushing water problem in my kitchen, I called the water company to turn the water off at the main line on Oct. 14th. There was no shutoff valve under the house that anyone has been able to find. After a disappointing visit from a plumber, I remembered that ServiceMaster did damage control. I called ServiceMaster Clean here in Kingston for damage control. Having been in the carpeting and flooring business in Seattle, I knew it was important to get the areas dried out as soon as possible. Ronnie Sitzler came out within 15 minutes in a Black Hummer. Left his truck and entered my home without a greeting as the telephone was glued to his ear. Gave me a card for his construction business, (Creative Restoration and Flooring). He never did put down the phone. The phone continued to ring and Mr. Sitzler continued to answer it. He went into the kitchen, garage and basement. Mr. Sitzler asked if I had a plumber and I said I could call my Insurance Agent and get a good name. He said, “Use my guy.” Called his plumber who said he was tied up for 1 ½ hr. This was at 10:30. I wanted to call my Insurance Agent for a name and he continued to insist on using his man. I asked about him bringing in drying equipment and humidifiers. He said the plumber would bring them. I asked for the extend of the damage and a bid from him. He said, “ We will do what the adjuster tells us to!” This did not answer my question. He said, “I have the same software that the adjuster has, so why should I give you a bid?” He seemed to think he could bypass me and only deal with the adjuster? I explained that I am the homeowner and will make the decision who does the repair. I was not impressed with Mr. Sitzler. He did not have drying equipment with him and the plumber did not get here until 4:00. So much for emergency damage control? The week continued to be frustrating, as Mr. Sitzler did not explain the details or the process. He did not explain the monitoring and metering of the damage. He didn’t seem to have enough staff to bring out equipment. He was depending on his plumber to bring 2. out the dryers and humidifiers. His people were late or didn’t show up on at least two occasions for monitoring appointments. In the past ServiceMaster was known for damage control and getting there dryers and humidifiers out immediately. I would have been more impressed if Mr. Sizler showed up with equipment to dry out the water damage instead of a Hummer with a phone in his hand. I would not recommend ServiceMaster in Kingston, TN., to anyone.
Description of Work: Ron Sizler, Owner, Did not have any equipment with him. Drive a Hummer. Did not do anything himself. Not much staff. Bad communication the whole time. Company is supposed to be water damage control? Took over over 6 hrs. to get equipment to me. Depends on a plumber to load and deliver his equipment.
