Creative Restoration

With insistence, the removal of all damaged drywall and flooring went well.  It was a very busy time in the area with many pipes damaged due the zero temperatures in 2014.  Our break happened on a Thursday and the crew only worked partial days Friday and Saturday and told us they would not work on Sunday.  This was the emergency side of the business that our insurance company contracts with. After a terse conversation with the owner, it was agreed that a new crew would be sent in on Sunday.  That crew was excellent and worked very hard to get wet and damaged out of the house.

The rebuild took months, Feb. to late July with final installation of bathrooms in Sept.  There were arguments over who was going to pay for flooring and bathroom cabinets, and I had to eventually find my own person to refinish the wood floors. Then there were protracted conversations with the builder and us as to who was going to get reimbursed for the expenses we incurred on the front end.  I had to take many hours from work to see that things got done.  The painter was another huge problem. 

Frankly, the job was not really supervised except by my husband and myself.  The owner or his immediate guy were only in our house maybe 5 times and most of that was at the beginning.  They never even did a final inspection to see if they were satisfied with the work.  On the other hand, if  I called every day or so, and listed my concerns, they would try and fix it.  You can imagine the hours I had to spend doing this. I am happy to still have my job.

They did a very good job responding quickly to a difficult situation...a pipe froze and flooded much of our house. They really went above and beyond in the services they provided to us. The quality of work on some of the minor details (e.g. painting) could have been a little bit better, but overall we were very, very pleased with Creative Restoration. We rated cost as N/A because this was covered by insurance, and so the pricing was negotiated directly between Creative Restoration and our insurance adjustor.

I rate this experience as very good, overall. The contractor removed a fiberglass tub surround and built/tiled a new shower, toilet, and vanity, with tile floor. The plumber was good, the tile man was very skillful, , and took care to make sure that everything was correct. My wife loves her new bathroom, and we both highly recommend this company.

They did an excellent job. I was very happy with how everything turned out. They made it a very smooth process by working with all the contractors and our insurance company. They price was very reasonable, and they stuck to the amount our insurance provided. We appreciated their honesty, and would highly recommend them.
