Quality of service was good, as I expected.

Jim and his crew arrived on the day they said.  They immediately went to work taking down several of our trees.  The work was incredibly fast and efficient.  Jim is a certified arborist and it was obvious by his care in cutting limbs and taking down the trees that he absolutely knows what he is doing.  And when he originally came to give us our quote for the job, he spotted one of our trees that was having some issues.  He knew what the issue was and he suggested that we carefully watch over the next couple of years.  He didn't try to sell us on immediately removing the tree but rather provided information about keeping a watchful eye on its future health.
We also saw other tree work around our house that we wanted done but that we had not originally asked for a quote on.  Jim provided that on the spot and was able to also complete that work.  They were careful not to damage anything around the property and did a great job cleaning everything up.  The crowning touch was blowing off the driveway of dust and leaves.  He and his crew were very professional, friendly, and easy to work with.  We would highly recommend them for any tree removal or tree trimming work.  They operate just like the name of their company - the Golden Rule of do unto others as you would have them do unto you.  We intend to use them in the future for any work that we may need to have done.

on the whole it was a good experience. jim leberge is as nice a guy as they come and very professional. while not totally punctual, (said they would be here between 8:30- 9a, they actually arrived at 10a) they did get the job done within 2 hours. i had 4 trees taken down, two of which we needed totally removed. since my husband was the one jim dealt with when he gave the estimate, the removal of debris left by a third tree wasn't in the estimate, but he happily took care of it for me for an added charge. all in all it was a good experience. and yes, if i need anything else done along these lines, i will definitely call golden rule.

We had some oaks that were struggling after construction damage, and some had died- we were concerned for the safety of our children in the backyard.  Jim was responsive in coming out for the estimate, and giving what I felt was a reasonable assessment of our situation, and his interest is in preserving what can be preserved- which I appreciate.  I felt his prices were fair.  It was a week or two before they could get out here to do the work, and they did an excellent job, were on time, communicated as to when they would be arriving, and also went over the plan again before cutting and trimming.  The young men who came to work were courteous, capable, respectful and hard working.  Clean up was excellent, and we were pleased with the results.  Would hire again hands down.

Large pin oaks had numerous dead limbs and were out of shape.  Ash tree had dead limbs and is very large.  Aborist  arrived at house on time and took the time to explain his thoughts and recommendations for each tree.  The job entailed using a bucket truck and trimmer climbing the oaks and doing all the work manually.  It was a big job, but was done on a day that reached 100 degrees.
All involved had a great attitude considering the difficult job and the heat.  Did an excellent job cleaning up as work was done. Their hard work was very much appreciated.

We obtained two estimated which were very close in price. Golden rule was chosen because of their promptness in getting their estimator to us. Larry Loiseau was professional, specific and very knowledgable as he walked the heavy woods around our house. He had good suggestions on our goals of getting more light into the yard and cutting back encroaching trees. He made drawings of the site and specific trees and limbs of trees to be removed. He is an ISA Certified Arborist. The cutting crew arrived on the specified date. The lot and location of trees and house made it difficult to drive their truck close to the tall trees, but they were very careful and did not damage anything. The tallest tree to be cut was large and tall. Next to this tree was our stone water feature and small bushes. The crew worked in close quarters and with extra effort and care as they sectioned the tree and dropped it piece by piece so as not to damage the water feature. They were fun just to watch. Two men worked in the tall trees and two worked on the ground. They were knowledgable, careful, used safety equipment, and did the job just as we had agreed. Larry joined the crew about halfway through the job to confirm that the proper trees and limbs were cut. All limbs were put in the shredder and chopped . As agreed, limbs large enough were left on the ground for us to cut up as firewood. The project was completed in a professional manner for a fair price. YES, we will call them again for all tree work.

Excellent! With Golden Rule, you get a Certified Arborist for the same price as the other companies charge! Jim LaBerge is very professional and evokes trust ... his company is well named.

Well. Was aware of his busy schedule and was O.K. with that. So it took a few weeks from the time I called to actually complete the work.

The owner and staff are all great to work with. We've done several projects with this company, and are always pleased with the work and reasonable price. Our only problem has been it usually takes making 2 calls to them before getting a response.

Jim the owner was very professional, prompt and reasonably priced. I went to work and when I returned home that afternoon, the trees were completely gone.

The tree had fallen over, so they came and cut it up and hauled it away for me. Jim Laberge and his crew got here quick and hauled it away even quicker. I have used them for years for tree service and will continue to do so in the future. I would also recommend them to others.

Excellent service, did not damage the yard, cleaned up everything. I have used them several times and will again.
