SHORT'S APPLIANCE REPAIR

Upright refrigerator died during summer and all food was spoiled and had to be thrown out. Called Mr. Shorts company and was told he would call back. Told the seriousness of situation but he never called back. Called again and was told he would call when on his way. Called next day and came but couldn't help. Said compressor quit and couldn't be replaced. He tested another part and it wasn't that. He said if it was it would have cost $45. When he discovered it wasn't that part he put it in his pocket. Asked him to take a look at a loose handle on another unit. He said he could not fix it. Asked about a loose gasket on another unit. Told me I could fix it myself. Mr. Shorts charged the $65 service call even though he couldn't help and pocketed a $45 part from my refrigerator.

We had a 18 month old refrigerator.  We called Shorts. They were able to tell us what part we needed. They ordered it for us. {which saved us money}.  When the part came in, we were out of town.  They ended up holding it for a month. We have used their expertise 3 times in the last 2 years. We have been completely satisfied on each occasion. We can not say enough. We would definitely recommend them.

He did a really good job.  He was fast and honest.

Mr. Short (?) was able to quickly diagnose and treat the malfunction with my washing machine. It turns out that there was a coin trapped in one of the hoses. He also offered advice on how to prevent future problems with the machine. It did take him a while to visit (ie. not the same day I called him), as he apparently stays very busy. If I have need of such a service again in the future, I will call him first.
