I had a leak in my roof, so when I got an e-mail for a roof tune up from Angie's List I signed up for it.  In between the time I had it scheduled I had two other people look at the roof for a repair estimate.  One person told my that the shingles were fine but it could be caused from my vent ridge.  The other person could not find the source of the leak and told me it could be caused from my gutter.  Since water doesn't run uphill I knew he was not very knowledgeable.  when Mr. McMurray inspected my roof he found some weak places.  He explained that my plywood was warped.  He also gave me an estimate to replaced the roof and explained that if any of the plywood was damaged it should be replaced.  He was clear in stating that they would not know what condition the wood was in until the shingles were removed.  He quoted a price for the cost of each piece should it need to be replaced.  I had the roof replaced about 12 years ago so I knew something was wrong.  It was.  The last people that replaced the shingles had apparently done a lousy job.  They didn't replace any of the felt or fix any of the boards.  They also had incorrectly installed the roof vent so I had some heat damage to the plywood.  Mr. McMurray explained that if the wood wasn't replaced I would have the same problem a few years down the road.  I decided to have them replace all of the wood.  This took a little longer and was more expensive but I am happy knowing that my roof was fixed and should last years.  The crew arrived on time, were very professional and cleaned everything up after finishing.  I was satisfied withe entire process from estimate to completion.  I recommended the to a friend and they are having them do their roof.  i highly recommend McMurray Boys Roofing.

These guys were flexible with their time to meet the gutter guys on the same day.  I highly recommend them!

I was so impressed, This company did not try to sell me anything, and told me things that i needed to get done to prevent additional repairs.  Fast, Right to the point, Very nice.

McMurray Boy's did an excellent job.  When they started the job they discovered that part of the house was double layered.  They removed the extra layer for a small nominal charge.  This caused the roofing job to be extended by an extra day.  They also installed 3 tubular skylight domes in the roof for no extra charge all we had to do was the mark the locations on the roof.  I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs roofing work.  Since it was the busy season we had to wait about a month before we could have our roof done.  It was worth the wait.

Chuck McMurray and his crew do an excellent job.  They arrived before 8:00 a.m. each day and worked diligently throughout the day. Chuck explained the entire process and was always ready and willing to answer any questions we had.  We were extremely happy with the finished product and would highly recommend McMurray Boy's Roofing.  You will not be disappointed.

We contacted McMurray Boys for an estimate to replace our roof. They replied promptly and arrived at the specified time. The estimate seemed reasonable so we told them to schedule the work after the Bristol race (we rent out our downstairs and did not want to inconvenience our guests.) They contacted us as requested and scheduled the work for Thursday, April 30. They arrived that morning and decided to do the front half of the house since rain was forecast for the afternoon. They came back the next day and finished the job. The crew was very polite, efficient, and professional. Chuck McMurray supervised every facet of the installation. When an unexpected situation was encountered with the skylights he resolved the issue to our satisfaction. The final bill was in line with the estimate even with the extra effort and materials involved. Cleanup was thorough and the overall look of the job was very impressive.
We had a very positive experience with McMurray Boys from start to finish. I highly recommend them.

Chuck McMurray and his crew did an excellent job. They were prompt and polite. All precautions were taken to protect landscape, heat pump, etc. Clean up was very thorough. The roof looks great. I highly  recommend this company.

Chuck came and evaluated the roof and gave an estimate of how much to completer properly. Said he would be back in two weeks to complete. He was prompt on his return and after future review of the situation determined that he was able to complete the work without additional cost and did not charge. Due to the age of the roof he repaired with minimal expense. I will use him when it comes time to replace the current roof. Thanks Chuck. 

Contractor and workers came early and finished the job in one day. Cleaned up everything after the work was done. Price was reasonable. Everyone was professional and polite. Mr McMurray's father repaired a step on the deck ( at no charge) which broke while the roof was being replaced. The roof looks good and I am pleased with the work they did.

He was honest and didn't try and scare me into getting a new roof.  At first he told me I might need get a new roof before winter, but when he went up and told me that I wouldn't need to after all.  I was very pleased with this company.

I found them on Angies List.  They were very good.  He was prompt, he called back right away, they allowed me to watch them, I always watch everything, they answered questions, the workers were respectful and they did a good job.  Actually he impressed me when I first met him about being honest.  I think I got a good deal, but I really don’t know I did not get 3 or 4 estimates, I felt that he was giving me a good deal.  They came out through Angies List they came out so felt pretty safe in getting them.

• Chuck McMurray responded quickly to both the quote and scheduling the actual work.  He and his crew are very professional and did a great job on both buildings. They  were very polite respectful  to the tenants and made sure they were not inconvenienced during the installation.  They constantly cleaned up and made sure the landscaping and lawns were protected during their work.  McMurray Boys also did my house last September which I posted a very positive experience.  Their quote for both jobs beat the competition and by several thousand dollars with some.   I would invite all to see their work at our apartments at 816 and 824 Packinghouse Rd in Kingsport, Tn.  I would highly recommend McMurray Boys to everyone.  

The crew were very knowledgeable and up to date with codes and best practices.  They were very cooperative on decisions needed when a problem arose (this is a unique house, partially in-ground).  Any problem uncovered was discussed with me and best decision made. The crew worked quickly, one day to complete the job. Everyone was friendly and courteous. Cleanup was well done with a few minor problems due to lack of light (as the sun set),  but Chuck McMurray came back the next day to finish and inspect the job.

Chuck McMurray is great to work with.  Showed up exactly on time for the estimate; explained everything that was included and gave me a price within about 45 minutes.  He wasn't the absolute cheapest but  was in the bottom half and was the only contractor who talked about the permits required, OSHA regulations for a job in Sullivan county, following up with an inspection, etc.  I accepted his quote on Friday and his crew arrived first thing Monday morning.  The entire job was finished in 4 1/2 days even with a couple of afternoons of rain thrown in.  Chuck was unhappy with one section of the roof and had his workers remove and replace it a second time - at his expense.  Clean-up was completed before they left including sweeping, magnetic clean-up around the house and disposal of all old roofing and work materials.  Sullivan County inspector came on Friday afternoon and approved the work in about 15 minutes.  He explained that McMurray Boys ALWAYS did a great job all the way to exactly the right type of flashing for any roofing surface.  I hope I don't need another roof for may years but I'd definitely choose McMurray Boys again.

Owner came to give estimate, was very professional, gave us a fair price.  Said he would call within the next 2 weeks to let us know when they would be there to replace roof.  Called in about a week and half, and were punctual and got right to work.  Work looks great, neighbors complimented us on our new roof.  Workers cleaned up, couldn't hardly tell they had been there.  Whole process was virtually painless.  

The McMurray Boys were 1 of 5 quotes I got in the area.  They came in well below the others, and I selected them based on their Angie's list rating and comments.  This was my mother in laws house that needed a new roof in order to qualify for the loan by the new buyers lender. .  We contacted contractor with a very short dead line and they made it happen, even with bad weather that had gotten them behind with other jobs.. They stayed in constant communication with us and did a great job.  All of this was done via phone, fax and email.  I never met with them since I live 400 miles away.  The house was inspected and everything passed with the best results.  I have 2 large apartment buildings in same town and when it's time for new roofing, these are the folks I want to do it.
