Bracken Asphalt Maintenance

They were suppose to seal the road and fill the cracks,but all they did was lightly “paint” it,you can still see all kinds of cracks,all they did was a half a** job,the first freezing rain will fill those cracks and break up the asphalt,and the next time this has to be done,will be by someone who knows what they are doing,I give them a ….F+

Came home to find construction equipment parked in my driveway while they were refinishing my neighbors'. Thought, hm... pretty ballsey... but ok. Asked them to move so I could get in and didn't think much of it. And guys I live on a busy double yellow line road and they had equipment all over the place and no flagger or cones or signs. Nothing. Later on, more equipment in driveway, thought "ok, wish they would have asked but hey do what you gotta do on this road." Kept my eye on them and finally drew the line when they literally started INTENTIONALLY DUMPING THEIR SCRAP ASPHALT ON TOP OF MY DRIVEWAY and I ran out to stop them before they dumped the whole bucket. Bobcat driver was not surprised that I was irate and told supervisor to come "deal with me." Supervisor literally tells me its not a big deal since its a gravel driveway so it doesn't matter, blah blah blah but I'll sweep it up. I say no, you cant sweep it up because its tar and chip and the equipment will damage my driveway. Tells me it's not a tar and chip driveway and starts scuffing his feet on it and says this is just crush and run there's no tar under here I didn't hurt anything. 6mo pregnant wife comes out to get pictures, starts screaming at her saying "I DONT GIVE A SH*T! TAKE DOWN MY NAME AND NUMBER I DONT GIVE A SH*T" waving his shirt that says Bracken Paving. I look out again later and they have the sweeper on my driveway, once again have to run out saying stop, nope, your done after they scraped the surface rocks off of my not-tar-and-chip driveway exposing the tar that's underneath. He sarcastically says no, hes gonna get "every last bit." I called Bracken to speak to a supervisor, well ladies and gentlemen come to find out I wont be hearing back because the guy who cussed my wife is in fact the OWNER/OPERATOR of Bracken Paving, Spencer Mckenzie, the guy who "Doesn't give a Sh*t" about your driveway. Alan Bracken, this is who you sold your company out to? Used to be a great company...

Very professional outfit from beginning to end. We're very happy with the new driveway, they did a great job. Neighbors are envious. They made sure the driveway had a solid stone foundation before laying new asphalt. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

If I were able to do this for myself, this is the quality I would have attempted. The driveway was more than 30 years old and was laid on the existing contour of the lot, allowing rain from the street and yard to flow towards the house. There were also oak tree roots beneath the drive that raised and broke up the surface. Brachen took up the old drive and cut deep enough to remove the roots under the gravel bed. They reshaped the drive slope to improve the drainage and laid a solid gravel base. The asphalt topping is even, with smooth lines and edges. I am extremely pleased with the job. Several neighbors have commented on how much they liked our new driveway.

Bracken always had a good name here. I didn't know that he had sold out and sold his name to a different company. These people didn't do as good a job as Bracken. They got the driveway to where it drained everywhere. I want that smooth texture whenever my feet will walk out on my driveway. I did mention that to him and he said that that is what they use. Bracken was the first owner. I can't believe he sold his name and company to these people. I expected their price to be a little bit higher than everybody else. I think I tried 2 others. I expected to pay more because I knew what Bracken did for years because my dad was a construction worker, and I knew that Bracken Paving was like the bomb. I get what I pay for. They responded good. Maybe they'll come back and redo it. They said that some customers have had them do it all over again.

They did an excellent job. This is the second time they've done my driveway, and they were great both times. I Highly Recommend them to all !!!!!!!

We had repairs performed on our asphalt driveway and had it sealed. Bracken uses a infrared heating system that melts the damaged asphalt so additional asphalt can be added to repair damaged surfaces. The sales representative and the staff that performed the work are very professional. A couple of months after the work was performed one of the areas that was repaired became damaged again. The Bracken representative came out and looked at the damaged area and said they would take care of it, no questions asked. The repair staff returned in a few days and took care of repairing the damaged area.
Great people to deal with. Great service at a very reasonable price. I think they have an exclusive on the infrared repair system.

They were very good. They cleaned up well, we have no complaints. I would recommend them to anyone who wants their drive way done. They are not the cheapest but have huge equipment and are fast. It was great. It was expensive because they did a long drive way. Their price was reasonable, it was worth the cost.

It was supposed to be a sealant job....the Contractor's name is Belcher Grady, he claims to have been doing business in this area for 14 yrs. But then he changed his price 3 times before even writing up the order for the job. Then when he finally wrote it up, it was on a generic contract paper...no name, address, phone number...just a generic contract for him to fill in the blanks. Then while I was in the house with Grady, he had his buddy outside already spraying the driveway....He would not take no for an answer, until I said I was calling the police. Then he was in the truck and ready to go. Then I called Bracken to get an estimate for the damage repair. I was very impressed with the way their representive conducted business. He was punctual, and very courteous, and very knowledgable of their services.

After contacting Bracken by telephone, a represtative came within days. We were given an estimate. The estimate was accepted by us. With weather considerations, a date was set for the work to be done. On that day Bracken employees came and within a few hours, had the job done. They were courteous and professional. The seal coating job looks exceptionaly, outsandingly good. It appears that it will protect the new asphalt driveway that was completed two years ago. I plan to use them again.

Our driveway needed renewing. Bracken Paving Inc are well known for being top quality. They were prompt and professional. They provided estimates of what they would do. They did what was specified and then some - they had some paving left over and they used it beside the asphalt.

Seven men plus equipment arrived on time and completed the job in 4 hours in spite of a brief rain shower. I can only judge the quality of the job after a several years have passed but it looks good. Price seemed high but if it lasts 30 years its probably worth it.

I would definitely call them again if I needed any asphalt work done.
