It went well. They could have improve on I guess the communication. The scheduling for the appointment, they would be out. It took several days to get a date tied down and then just a little bit of the finishing touches that kind of lacked to him but it looks really good.

We never thought we would install or even want granite countertops, but after the experience with Appalachian Stoneworks, we'll probably never have anything BUT granite. Everything about this experience was a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. We worked with Anita to pick out our granite, and she showed us a wide range of selections, offered advice, then let us walk the yard to make our choice. She scheduled our installation within a week of us picking the slab, and the installation went off without a hitch. The installers were very professional and clearly cared about doing the job right. The tear-out of the old countertops probably took a little longer than they expected, so they were still finishing up the installation past 8 p.m. When a job is running that late, I expect contractors to start hurrying the job to get out the door, but they were as meticulous at 8:30 as they were at 2:30. They cleaned up after they were done to the point that you couldn't tell they had been there -- except the fact that these beautiful countertops were now there instead of the old ugly ones. The price was half of what we were about to pay a big-box store for quartz countertops. If we need countertops in the future, this is where we'll get them.

Their estimate was in line with other estimates. They were friendly and were good price wise. I would recommend people to go up to their store in order to check their products. They were pretty punctual. There is still a possibility that I might use their services in the future to get the work done.

Very well. We needed countertops for our new kitchen and visited 3 vendors within 40 miles of our construction site. Appalachian was by far the most cordial, patient and able of the three. As a bonus, they also had the best proposal including the least expensive cost of the three. They were very patient as my wife and I trecked through their yard looking at all of the stone. The rep. explained the price points of the different stone and even through it was raining, took all of the time necessary to make my wife and me happy. We had taken a liking to a particular stone at a previous vendor and Appalachian had that same stone. They took our plans and faxed a proposal to us the next day and priced it right. They showed up on schedule to prepare the templates and installed the finished product in our new kitchen, as promised, three weeks later. They have called on two separate occasions AFTER payment was made to make sure we were happy with the granite. We love it, and we have great respect for their concern for customer service. During the template measurement I informed them that I decided to put table leg corners on the island cabinet and needed more than the 1 1/2 inch overhang on two of the sides. The original design called for a 12 inch overhand on one side for some bar stools and the standard edge on the other. Rather than shift the slab before cutting the sink out, subtracting from the 12 inch side, they just added three inches of granite to the other side. That calculated to a additional square foot of granite with NO increase in the proposed price. I assume that this granite would have probably ended up in the scrap pile anyway, but they could have easily made a case to charge me for it. They didn't.
