The company "Absolute Home Services" should be renamed "Absolute Disaster". Dave Stills started the job of ripping off the old roof on my garage and installing a new metal roof on Oct 2nd '13. He lied when he said I needed a new roof because of a leak in the brittle tiles. I originally hired him only to replace the rotting wood soffits on the garage and the rotting wall and floor in my chicken coop. My friend looked at the plywood roof in the garage and didn't see any water stains. The metal roof was installed incorrectly by nailing the metal right into the plywood. Then he lied to a friend who questioned why he didn't lay down the aqua barrier. He told my friend that I said I didn't want it cause it would cost too much! I never said any such thing. He never gave me the choice nor did he explain the difference. What do I know about an underlay? He charged me $350 for the dump fee and left most of the debris of broken tiles and wood and dozens of nails which 2 people found in their shoes! Later I find out the dump fee was only $54 a ton. Yet another lie! He was lying to me as he was installing the new wall on the chicken coop. I questioned why he wasn't removing the old rotting wall and he said he could take it off from the inside. Well, how do you remove the old wall when the new one is nailed to it with 25 + nails??? I told him I wasn't paying him any more money till he removed the metal roof and put the underlay down and finished the coop the way I asked him to. He then walked off the job, made dozens of excuses why he couldn't come back including his grandma died and his car broke down) Now I'm left with gaping holes in the soffits, gutters that are bent and lying on he ground, brackets and screws missing from the gutters, a chicken coop that needs to be redone and debris all over the place! At this point, I don't want that pathological lier back as I think he is incapable of doing any job the right way. Now I have to hire someone else to do the job right and I'm faced with taking him to court for what it will cost me to fix the damage he did. I can't help but wonder how many other seniors he has taken to the cleaners. What he did, should be considerd a criminal act!
