Shining Star Cleaning Service

The girls cleaned windows, floors, furniture, counter tops. They cleaned wherever they knew the boss would check, such as door frames, pictures, etc. However, anything they moved was not put back where it belonged. Even the valances were stuck behind the shutters at the bedroom windows, instead of pulling them back over.

Fine.

I was pleased with the initial "spring cleaning" they did for me early in the summer, but then we had a couple of scheduling mix-ups and so I did not hire them for regular cleaning. A month or so later I decided to try them again for regular cleaning and I have been very satisfied. The two cleaners are pleasant, professional, and they are usually in and out in 1 1/2 hours. Since I work from home, this is very important to me that I have as little disruption as possible. The rate is higher than my last service, but I am comfortable with the reliability of this service.

I was totally, totally disappointed with them. From the website and the reviews that I read, it said that they gave complete and thorough cleaning and they used their own stuff. I had one room upstairs and another room downstairs, they came in and they vacuumed around the rugs. They didn't lift the rugs and vacuum. They didn't clean my hardwood floors and they didn't take the rugs up from those. They steamed cleaned around everything and didn't really clean the floors. They didn't dust anything. One girl had 2 bathrooms to clean upstairs and she didn't clean them. The floors were filthy and the tub was never cleaned. She took everything that was laying on the countertop, pushed it one side and didn't clean a thing. I came into the kitchen and nothing had been cleaned, everything was pushed to one side. The guy came to pick them up and apparently they are allowed so many minutes to do a house. I told them my house is still dirty. He asked the girls whether they got the check. They said yes. He told them that they had to go. I had to have somebody else come in and clean that afternoon because I had guests coming. I called him and I told him I can't pay twice to have the house cleaned. I am not going to be easy anymore. He said that he will make it right. He should have done that when I went to the door and told him that it wasn't clean. He took the check and he got the girls and left. Nothing was fixed. They were late by 15 minutes. They were not professional.

Owner Rob arrived as scheduled, toured the house, and got back to me promptly with a quote for both full Spring cleaning and for a bi-weekly cleaning.. We agreed to a a Spring cleaning first, then additional cleanings if I was satisfied with the Spring cleaning. The crew of two arrived on time for the cleaning, bringing all their own supplies as promised. I thought they were professional, friendly, and efficient. They asked questions when necessary, often asking how I preferred to have something done. They finished the job within the estimated time frame. Overall we were pleased with the results and we have scheduled another and quot; maintenanceand quot; cleaning in two weeks.

The rate quoted for bi weekly cleaning is about 15-20% higher than other services I have used. I plan to have them do a couple more cleanings to see if they are worth the difference in rates.

It went well from start to finish. The company owner came out and did a walk through then gave me a free estimate. He made sure I had his contact number so that I could call him with any questions or concerns. He was very flexible in working with my schedule on when to come out and clean. I only quit using him because I was done with school.

They are cleaning my house for a couple of years. Since the last time they cleaned I stopped them and went with a private individual that needed some money. Shining Star did a great job. The private individual doesn't do a good job so I want to go back to Shining Star. They do a good job. They just do a thorough job with cleaning. They try and put things back in its place after they clean it. The staff is very friendly. They send two girls out and they are very friendly. They don't mind talking to you a little bit. I was alone and I wanted to talk. They just do a good job with cleaning.
