Meade Tractor - Johnson City

Deere refused to warranty the machine. Meade would not return any of my call; including emails to their corporate office. The machine should have easily handled the dried leaves (see photo). You judge my take on this! Both Meade an Deere made no effort to Help me in anyway nor did they physically examine the mower. My advice is to stay away from Meade and Deere!

I took my mower to Meade Tractor due to it running very badly. A few days later they called and said it was ready with no real problems but a pin replacement (sheer I believe) and it would cost approx. 149.00 for diagnostics and the pin. When I arrived the mower would not run and I was told ?it ran fine the other day.? That?s nice but it does not run now. They kept it and later that week I went by to speak to the manager since they seemed to plan on keeping the mower until it was too cold to cut. He told me ?the pin they replaced had broken and may be too short and or too soft.? I expressed that it sounded like it did not work as designed and I felt John Deere should be responsible. He stated that a different pin, that would work, would be ordered. When I went to get the mower they charged me approx. 90.00 for the pin plus installation. I do not feel I should pay for something that may have been defective. Plus I was not offered (this time) any help to put the mower on the trailer and as a 100% disabled veteran that would be nice. No one had time to help me so I pushed (100% disabled vet) those out of the way and took my mower, loaded it up and went home. However, I still feel I was very poorly treated.

You can rent different types of equipment. We need needed to gravel our driveway and our son come down from King George, Virginia and he spread the gravel out on the driveway and moved a lot of dirt in the back. We have a few cattle, five black angus steer. I am willing to put some Sevin dust just to get rid of the flies that could go and stay on my dogs. You can sprinkle that on your yards to get rid of the flies, tick and fleas. We rented the equipment for few hours but we got it on a weekend and they are not open on Saturday and Sunday so we keep it until Monday morning. The rented equipment has a timer on it and it account the hours or number of hours it has been used and they check the hours when it goes out and check it when it comes back in. If it go over the hours you have to pay a little bit extra. They said if you go over 2-3 hours extra they would not charge it but if like a bunch of hours like maybe 25 or 30 hours they will charge you for another day. For the work that it does actually that is a pretty cheap price than to get somebody to come out with the piece of equipment and do that work it and it cost $100 and hour so its very expensive. Since equipment rental is their job strong point, they are good in helping out with the equipment suitable for a certain mechanical job and how to use it.
