Service tech broke tailgate window glass by not properly securing gate in upright position or by not obtaining assistance from a second technician.

We've had 3 different incidents with this dealership. Two were with car maintenance and repairs, and the third was with sales.
Incident 1 - We thought our break pads were getting close to needing replacement, and we asked them to look at them when we brought the car in for an oil change. They said the pads were fine, but at the next oil change we asked them to look again. This time they said that not only did the pads need changing, but we had waited to long and now the rotors needed to be replaced also. It ended up being around $500 to fix something that should have been regular maintenance.
Incident 2 - We brought our car in for service and asked them to check the battery's health while we were in. At the time I was 9 months pregnant, and wanted to make sure my car was in good shape before the baby got here. Three weeks later I accidentally left my the lights on in the car for 10 to 15 minutes while I ran in to the grocery store. When I came out the battery was completely drained, and I was stuck there with my three week old baby.
Incident 3 - We outgrew our car and were shopping for a minivan. We found a good deal somewhere else, but we called Honda of Johnson City to see if they could compete with the price. They said they could beat the price by $200, but then when we started to discuss the taxes they said the taxes were much higher than they actually are. I thought something was off so I told them I would call them back. I called our county clerk's office and they verified the taxes the dealership claimed were not the real taxes that should be charged.

Last month my dad bought a used car from Johnson City Honda. There was a problem with the purchase that
was my dad’s fault. When we found the problem, Johnson City Honda took the car back and made things right. It is the first time I have ever seen a used car dealer with this level of integrity.
Brian Cook, in particular, took exceptional measures to resolve the issue, with our best interest held as his highest priority. They have certainly earned my respect and future business.

They did okay. They took all day, but my headlights work. I was annoyed with how long it took. They charged way too much money. Those bulbs are super expensive and the owner of the car is really not given any instruction on changing them because they are very dangerous. They are high voltage and super-mother-thunder equipment. They are very expensive and the labor is expensive because you cannot get to them. They replaced 5 bulbs total and an igniter. They are very friendly, explain things thoroughly, and you get to decide what they do for you. The other nice thing is since people have to wait for their car and sometimes it takes awhile. Not only do they have a television, coffee, and stuff, they have cookies and ice cream all the time. It is not your high-class, high-end place, but it is friendly and comfortable to wait. Another nice thing is they wash your car every time you come in for service. They just run it through the outside or at least they get the salt off when you take it in for service in the winter.

Brooks is the service advisor I always work with. He is awesome, friendly and knowledgeable. There was a minor problem found, they told me, I approved it and it was fixed completely. I have since moved out of the area but if I return to Johnson City, TN, I will definitely use them again. The only issue is that there is usually along wait for appointments, they are very very busy.

Then the next day they worked me in and changed the tire and even showed me the piece of metal that had caused a hole in the tire. All staff were very polite and they packed my spare tire back in place for me. I will continue getting my Honda serviced at Johnson City Honda.

Thought the salesman was having my car test driven, instead he had the keys in his pocket. He gave me an approved by the General Manager for trade in and final price for the vehicle I was thinking about purchasing. When I went to the Finance Office the figure had changed by approx. $3700. The Finance Officer also charged more than he had quoted me for the extended warranty. I talked to Joe Trujillo, owner, and he said he knew they had made a mistake but they would do nothing about it. I would not recommend them ever.

It was good. The work was done right; the brakes were good and it ran well. They took out a couple of things, changed those out and did a good job. Even though it's a dealer their price structure it is about the same as any independent repair shop.

I went to get a flu shot, and as I started to go back home my car would not run. I had my car towed to Johnson City Honda where a service writer named Will greeted me, and proceeded to write a service order with all the details of the problem I could provide. The service area was very clean, Will was a great guy, very professional, and I felt at ease from the very start. Will called early the next day to say they had found a defective relay causing the problem. He informed me they would have to order the part, and asked if I had a preference between an after market replacement, or an OEM dealer part which I thought was very consumer friendly. I authorized the OEM part, and the replacement work. I received a call to let me know my car was ready, and as I had earlier thought to have the wheels balanced, and the alignment checked I authorized that work to be performed. Will called to say the technician had done the alignment twice, and in both instances it would not hold. He went on to explain the technician had discovered the inner, and outer tie rod ends on both the left, and right sides of my suspension were broken, and in need of replacement. The cost was beyond my means at that time, so Will offered to do the alignment again at no extra cost at which time I could have the suspension work done. I felt this was as fair as one could expect, and overall very pleased with my experience with the service department at Johnson City Honda

The service department is very honest and they only do what's needed to the vehicle.
