Incident 1 - We thought our break pads were getting close to needing replacement, and we asked them to look at them when we brought the car in for an oil change. They said the pads were fine, but at the next oil change we asked them to look again. This time they said that not only did the pads need changing, but we had waited to long and now the rotors needed to be replaced also. It ended up being around $500 to fix something that should have been regular maintenance.
Incident 2 - We brought our car in for service and asked them to check the battery's health while we were in. At the time I was 9 months pregnant, and wanted to make sure my car was in good shape before the baby got here. Three weeks later I accidentally left my the lights on in the car for 10 to 15 minutes while I ran in to the grocery store. When I came out the battery was completely drained, and I was stuck there with my three week old baby.
Incident 3 - We outgrew our car and were shopping for a minivan. We found a good deal somewhere else, but we called Honda of Johnson City to see if they could compete with the price. They said they could beat the price by $200, but then when we started to discuss the taxes they said the taxes were much higher than they actually are. I thought something was off so I told them I would call them back. I called our county clerk's office and they verified the taxes the dealership claimed were not the real taxes that should be charged.
was my dad’s fault. When we found the problem, Johnson City Honda took the car back and made things right. It is the first time I have ever seen a used car dealer with this level of integrity.
Brian Cook, in particular, took exceptional measures to resolve the issue, with our best interest held as his highest priority. They have certainly earned my respect and future business.
They did okay. They took all day, but my headlights work. I was annoyed with how long it took. They charged way too much money. Those bulbs are super expensive and the owner of the car is really not given any instruction on changing them because they are very dangerous. They are high voltage and super-mother-thunder equipment. They are very expensive and the labor is expensive because you cannot get to them. They replaced 5 bulbs total and an igniter. They are very friendly, explain things thoroughly, and you get to decide what they do for you. The other nice thing is since people have to wait for their car and sometimes it takes awhile. Not only do they have a television, coffee, and stuff, they have cookies and ice cream all the time. It is not your high-class, high-end place, but it is friendly and comfortable to wait. Another nice thing is they wash your car every time you come in for service. They just run it through the outside or at least they get the salt off when you take it in for service in the winter.
