Structural Engineering
We were buying a home in TN from an other state. We couldn't be in TN for the inspection and trusted this inspector entirely too much. After all, they are a home inspector, that is what we were paying them for, truthful, unbiased advised. Right? This inspector missed several issues with the home. Including the center column of the home not being properly supported, and extreme lack of ventilation in the crawl space (leading to severe moisture and fungi growth). There were lights that didn't work and electrical outlets that were falling apart. Needless to say, we never would have purchased this home is the inspector had done his job completely.
