I had used Casteel Roofing previously on my own home so when my Mother's house needed a new roof and guttering we used them again.
They promptly came out to give us an estimate. They provided a very detailed estimate and specific contract. They started the work quickly and when done they cleaned up so that you would never know they had been there. A very nice job.
Sonia the office manager was very nice, professional and easy to work with as was Frank Casteel, the owner.
Good price, great work, good people, you can't beat that!

Mr. Casteel installed an architectural grade roof to our home in 2004, and to my parent's home in 2007. Our experience with Casteel Roofing was excellent. They did a wonderful job in a timely manner - cost was competitive to other quotes we obtained. I'm glad we had this opportunity to use their services. We highly recommend this company to anyone in the market for a new roof.

I had damage from a storm to my roof, so much so that the adjuster wanted it replaced.
I got three bids with Mr. Casteel's being the lowest and most thorough and specific.
Mr. Casteel's crew showed up when expected. When their demolition started
they discovered that the sheeting was in poor condition and would need
replacing. I was contacted immediately and given the additional price.
The crew was efficient and careful with all of my flowers and shrubs,
covering them where necessary. When they got to my front porch they
discovered hidden damage to the structure from leaks. They used
materials that they had in their shop to fix the damage and replace the
post and aluminum.
When finished they thoroughly cleaned up every bit of roofing and scraps.
The roof looks the best it ever has. You can look at it and see that the fit and details are very professional.
Mr. Casteel and Sonja Broyles were both very professional, quick to respond when I called. I can't tell you how thorough the written bid was, very impressive.
I will gladly use them in the future and recommend them to anyone.

They put the new roof on and promised in the bid that they would strip it down to the plywood, put new felt on, and check to see if I needed to replace any of the plywood on the roof because my home is 30 years old. The first guy who came only pulled the shingles, and I had to point out to him to check under the felt. He tried to convince me it was unnecessary, although in the end they finally began checking as they originally said they would. I needed to replace some of the brickwork on the chimney, and the guy said his brother does masonry work. I agreed to have him do the work, but when I came back from lunch, I saw a river of gray running down the roof on my new shingles. The cement began drying in the sun, and when I pointed it out, he got up on the house with a hose and a wire brush, and got up there to scrub the new shingles with the wire brush. They finally did replace those shingles once I confronted them. The roof tress that ran through the chimney had rotted away and needed to be replaced or needed a scab put on. They said they would take care of it. However, I happened to go up there and look, and the workers told me I did not to replace it, and said instead I could just stick a 2x4 up there to prop it up. I had to demand they stand by their bid, and I personally went and cut the wood and helped them fix that. Instead of taking all of the old bricks away as promised, they filled up the empty chimney cavity with the old bricks. My living room ceiling was trashed when it rained when they failed to properly cover the roof. They just left my old tarps up there instead of using their own tarps, and they left a gaping hole around the chimney, which resulted in water damage they never fixed. I withheld a portion of what I had paid them because of the water damage, and they just walked away. When I had water damage around my new stove when they failed to caulk properly I called them out, and they sent someone who sent me a bill for $350 to tell me the holes were not there when they did the work. They were throwing bricks at one point, which left holes throughout the tar paper and resulted in more water damage. Although the owner was nice to work with and attempted to be accommodating, the workers were very unprofessional and their work was not satisfactory in the end.
