We call another company (AirSmith) and he came out and checked the unit.
It is a definitely a USED unit, the copper pipes are blackened and tarnished, + there was not enough freon in it to make the unit functional.
Airsmith also stated that conditioned overcharged us by $1000 for that style of unit.
So now we are stuck with trying to deal with this company to get a NEW one put in.
Yesterday when we tried to get them to come out and repair the problems the unit was having, the person in charge was rude and offensive, + hung up on us.
They got our money and now will not give customer satisfaction. Stay away from these guys!!
October 3,2014: Yesterday the receptionist from Conditioned called and told us that one of the owners along with the HVAC company Rep would come out. They were so nice and polite the whole time they were with us. The Rep looked the unit over and talked with "Conditioned" they decided to replace the unit for another one. They "upgraded" the unit to a top of the line unit worth (Their words) $2000 more without extra cost to us. We sure appreciate that, it more than made up for the previous mistakes.
Due to the lateness of the day they installed 2 window air units and we were comfortable for the night.
The installation men came out immediately the next day; removed the problem unit and brought the new unit and did a nice job of installing the unit. They made sure that we saw the unit was brand new.
We are very happy with our purchase now, they have redeemed themselves with this functioning unit upgrade and the problem has gone away.

We always listen to our customers and greatly appreciate your input. I apologize for the bad experience that you had. I can assure you that the happiness of our customers take top priority. Our records show that we installed your unit at your home on September 10th, 2014. You called us saying that your unit wasn't cooling well on September 19th, 2014. We sent our technician, Rick, to your home at 10:00 am. When he looked over your system, he found that the airflow was being restricted due to a dirty filter and blocked registers, which can cause the coils to freeze. He did not find anything else wrong at that time. If there is now a problem with low refrigerant, then, that can definitely be addressed and we will do our utmost to make it right. As per our phone call this morning, we are currently in the process of doing what we can to address the issues. I am not sure why Air Smith would tell you that the unit is used, since we only sale new units. I re-verified the serial number of your unit with Carrier who informed me that your unit was manufactured on the 10th week of 2014. If you would like reassurance as well, the phone number I called was 905-672-0860. Air Smith is one of our competitors, but they are not a Carrier Dealer, they specialize in Rheem units, which are very different, and they could not know what the current prices are for Carrier. We try to be very fair in the products that we offer and the prices that we charge. In our phone call this morning, you corrected me that he didn't personally tell you that the unit is used, so hopefully this is just a misunderstanding. I apologize for unpleasant phone call that you had yesterday with our manager. As you may remember, we were experiencing a very poor connection. Our manager did switch phones, but the call was still lost. It was back working this morning when we reached out to you. Here at Conditioned Heating and Cooling, we are thankful for each of our customers and never take a single one for granted. Again, we apologize and look forward to taking care of you now and to better serving you in the future."
