FirstBank Inc - Jackson

Frances was our loan officer for what we thought might be our first house. Unfortunately, Frances failed to pay attention to important details related to our financial situation and credit history, and, as a result, the entire loan process was spread out over three - four weeks. We contacted Frances regularly to check on our loan process--she would tell us that she had nothing to report and that everything was fine, only to call us back, in some cases minutes later, to tell us that there were "major" issues that needed to be addressed. Paper work was delayed because of her inattention to detail. Finally, towards the very end of the process and only two weeks before our closing date, she called to ask about a particular detail of our loan, one which had been clarified extensively during the pre-approval process, and told us that, as a result of this detail, we would not only be denied our loan but that we could not receive a loan from another provider for at least 18 months. This was not a credit issue--we were debt free with money in the bank. We believe that this information should have been provided to us some 6 weeks prior, when we began the process! I am very disappointed in Frances' service, and I cannot recommend her or First Bank based on my experience.
